Ok;
I downgraded PHP from 5 to PHP 4. and everything works as it should. So I'm not sure if you have tested this on PHP5 yet or not but there might need to be some tweaking.
But otherwise great work guys.

Odd that there would be a problem. We're not using any OO code, which is usually what breaks between the two.

Nina, since you were working on the corp hanger - fuel, do you have a viewpos file that displays it?
i'd start cobbling one together, but my *bleepin* host server is dead

I'm using php 5 on apache 2.2 and mysql 5 so it should work. Maybe something in your php.ini --

could be, but only changes made from the default php.ini was for mssql use and the global variables. Also running on W2k3 and iis6.
But if you are running it Esaam then I'll just assume it is on my end and not bother anymore on this problem and let you guys get back to finishing it.

Also while I'm thinking of it a nice addition in the POS fuel calculations would be to add a field that states whether the structure is on line or not.
I know from running some caldari towers and their low power that I had to leave some structures offline till I needed them.
and currently it just calculates if everything is online.

Edited by: Celedor on 01/09/2006 15:38:40 Any recent updates on this? I see you guys are using a temporary SVN, but either I'm blind, or I just can't find any info on this in either of the POS Tracker threads.
I'm using the 0.1 development release, and I love it - although I find I could really use a production management system (to check on silos etc via the webpage), and although I could code in this myself, it wouldn't make sense to do the coding when several of you guys are already working on it.
I would be more than interested in helping out developing this project - for reference I have created the corporate webpage for my corp, which can be found at Bre-X Corp Page.
Feel free to contact me in game if there is any interest in having me join the team. :)

Sourceforge Project
I recently put in some changes relating to corp hangar arrays, and NPC corp hangars being used for fuel storage. Got some more changes to make, but too much to do at work to make them right now.

And what would it take to get my hands on the source for your corp page? That looks like it has some of the features I've been thinking of writing up for mine. :)

That was an interesting question, and not one I've really considered... :P
I don't really see any reason for me to leave the code closed, and it would probably be a cool thing for me as a developer to release that as a public project to be honest.
The main problem with releasing it as a public project is of course that it contains close to no commentaries whatsoever, since - like in many projects - I have created it for personal development, and not really a public project. However, according to people who've seen my code, it shouldn't be TOO hard to figure it out. I'm sort of a newb in regards to SQL though, so it would most likely be a bit embarrassing for me to let people read the SQL statements etc that I've used But hey - vanity put aside - I'll modify the code for public view, and put it up on a page for you to review and improve on - while at the same time I'll also make a SourceForge page for it. Maybe others will find it interesting too! :D

Excellent. I'm always glad to help people understand SQL better. I'm completely self taught, but I like to think I'm reasonably good at it. :)
Let us know when you get it hosted, and I'll throw my SVN client at the sourceforge repository for it. :)

Relating the status of the POS Tracker...
I would like to release a 1.0 version soon with the following features completed:
Installer (Done, but needs more testing) Corp Hangar Array Fuel Storage (Done, needs more testing) NPC Hangar Fuel Storage (Done, needs more testing) Refuel From Hangars (Planned, need to write)
Everything else is ready, I believe.
After version 1.0 is released, here is what I think we should work towards for version 2.0:
Re-impliment code base to simplify future additions Impliment template system for IGB vs OOGB views Reaction / Manufacturing Interfaces
Any other suggestions for 2.0?

I just downloaded revision 48 of the SVN version of the POS Tracker, and I here are my comments :
The installer works as intended. I am running it on a gentoo based system, where I use PHP Version 5.1.4-pl4-gentoo and MySQL - 4.1.20-log. The database tables were already in place when I ran the installer, and it ran through the script without any errors - thus the IF EXISTS clausules work as intended etc.
When opening the Fuel Calculator in the IGB, there is a form field "and [I do not want]/[I do want] to take into account the corporate hangar levels." I cannot find any reference to any corporate hangar anywhere, so I cannot really enter what I actually have in the corporate hangar in any form as far as I can see. This may be related to the table structure already being in place when I installed - but then again, the table structure wouldn't affect what links are available and not in the PHP code.
I really miss an option to select online/offline for a POS Structure.

Edited by: Utoxin on 01/09/2006 16:56:15 Hmm. I'll look into that hangar level thing, and make sure it's working.
As for the online/offline thing, I'm adding that to the 1.0 goals.
Edit: Oh, and I just realized. The 'corp hangar' option should work if you add a corp hangar to a POS, and then go back to the 'edit' screen. That's where it displays.

Here's a little something for you to do ;)
In the revision 48, the install.php script line 51 states to create a field corp_ticker in the user table. This field is not accounted for in the process of registering a user, and thus trying to register a user fails with the message that column count is not correct for the insert statement.
To amend this I just deleted the line that creates the corp ticker field, since it doesn't seem very likely that it's intended to be used anyways.

Also, I just noticed that the "Enable Trust" link fails horribly in the IGB with a rather nasty loop error. Not a big one to amend - but I didn't look into what the problem was just yet. Working on getting the latest revision up and running for my corp right now. ^^

Damn the EVE Forums :P I had entered a nice and long reply and some internal server error 500 popped up, deleting my response!
Anyways - the last version works good! I'm impressed by the rapid fixing
Two things - where one is insanely minor. Let's start with the minor one.
For each cell output in the Admin menu - I suggest you add an if/else clause and add a non-breaking space to any cell that outputs as an empty cell, to get the CSS styles applied to even the empty cells.
The second issue is the Fuel Calculator. I haven't looked into what the error might be - but I'll show you the result it outputs to me when I ask it to calculate 5d 12h of fuel for me, and take both current fuel level, and corp hangar array fuel stocks, into account :

Heh. Yeah. That's just because you have more than you need for that amount. :) I need to make it 0 out. But I'll work on that when I get home.

the current viewpos generates an error
Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/www/mywebspaceurlhere/postracker/viewpos.php on line 53
it still displays fine as far as I could tell, but gets the error

You know what would be a good addition to this project, the ability to set what the POS is doing so you can see the status of your silos so you know when to transfer materials if u have a few working off each other.

If you get this error, simply re-run the install script. Don't bother creating a new admin user though. The install just needs to create a table you're missing.

When I try to run the install script, nothing happens even though it says tables created successfully.
When i install sql manually through phpmyadmin i get the following error Quote: Error
SQL query:
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `npc_hanger` ( `corp` varchar( 255 ) NOT NULL , `system` varchar( 255 ) NOT NULL , `isotope` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `oxygen` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `mechanical_parts` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `coolant` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `robotics` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `uranium` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `ozone` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `heavy_water` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `strontium` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , `charters` int( 10 ) unsigned NOT NULL , PRIMARY KEY ( `corp` , `system` ) )
MySQL said: Documentation #1071 - Specified key was too long. Max key length is 500
I changed the corp and system length to 250 and it works fine.

I changed the corp and system length to 250 and it works fine.
Also, when I go to use the app, im getting division by zero errors. I changed the actuall path that it outputs to PATH.

also, on my host, it doesn't appear to be redirecting poperly? My hosting is complaining that im using IP rather than domain.
Thanks, this tool is really helpful for us.
What version of MySQL are you using? 3.23 or 4?
I'll look into fixing the divide by 0 errors too.
Oh, and what page is having the redirect errors? And is there a specific error message? (In IGB, View Source might show you more errors messages)

Server stats: PHP5 (more info) 5.1.6 - MySQL 4.0.27 -
the redirect errors are occuring on anything that uses either user-transaction.php and pos-transaction.php. Maybe something wrong with redirect.php?

you have the pos tracker files in a sub directory /postracker ? the new(current) redirect file gave me errors when I had it in a base lvl directory to clearify, I had my POStracker files in 'http://hostname/' it gave errors with the current redirect, I moved it to /postracker and it works fine
you could always try the old redirect file the old redirect file looked like

That fixed my problem. Im guessing its something to do with the fact that I am using hosting services that has virtual host to conserve IPs.
On the division by 0, now that i got the redirects working currently, it looks like im getting 0 units on everything as the required level?
