Wipe your characters and start over. Instead of spending 1000's of hours grinding until burnout, invent your own reality within the game.
There's so much gamey stuff to do within eve as long as you make it your own and have fun with it. Run the major shipping lanes on anti-pirate duty. It may not be as satisfying if you don't get a chunk of ISK at the end, but it's got as much point as any other video game you've ever played. On the off chance you catch gankers in the act and counter kill them, you won your little mini-game you devised within the Eve sandbox.

In some ways it can be a little difficult because everyone wants to pull their own direction, but that's what more subs are for (NOT MORE ALTS, that's just the same person with the same mind as before!). When you create a way of playing the game, don't listen to people that try to mainstream you by saying it's stupid or not making you as much isk as it could or you're not skilling up fast enough. If you listen to them, you turn into the machine grinder and lose what spark of imagination and joy you can get out of setting up and defining your own microcosm goals in the game. |
