Today Stormriders would like to drive home the point that slavers are not safe anywhere. Our squadron successfully bombed a mixed group of IGSD and the 1st Praetorian Guard. While the damage inflicted was not as high as we had hoped due to unforseen sensor overload and outside interference we destroyed at least three ships and damaging roughly ten and our point was made and we believe that the rally was significantly disrupted. Slavers beware: We do not need a CONCORD sanctioned war to kill you.

This was posted quickly... I recorded the aftermath and I'll see what I can do to get it here onto GalNet. The rally was not interrupted in any way by this, though, as it took place inside the station. _______________________

The sensor overload caused by what must have been a hundred Concord ships unfortunately prevented us from even targeting back. A nice firework of Typhoon class battleships was about all you achieved though. I knew you are lunatics but this was unexpected.

I looked outside the window of the great hall during the rally and saw 100+ Concord sihps outside. The misguided Minmatar terrorists set off smartbombs next to the station (which is in 1.0 space). Needless to say Concord did not approve.
These photos were taken by Aeina Caeraen of EDF and show the carnage created by these spacegoing heathens.
MINMATAR TERRORISTS - ACT I
MINMATAR TERRORISTS - ACT II
MINMATAR TERRORISTS - ACT III
Needless to say this comedy of errors caused severe gravimetric disturbances creating a "lag effect" in space which allowed several attending the Rally to escape safely because their enemies were unable to lock them.
In the end the terrorists HELPED the rally by creating this lag effect and allowing participants to escape.

Edited by: Sarok Menak on 13/08/2006 22:12:56 All you have done are just scratches on our armor. The few ships we've lost is nothing. And know that all of our pilots are always ready to be engaged, especially during important event like this one. It's just a pity for the sensor overload that we can't open fire back, as all your group was already to dust when it was finished.
You didn't interrupt the rally at all. And if you really want to know, nothing has been said about your foolish aggression during the speech. More important issues has been claimed.

Of course, and I thank you, but I was merely pointing out that Stormriders had merely disrupted the 1PG fleet that had assembled outside the station, and that the rally itself had proceeded as smoothly as it could, despite the... detractors present.

Thank you so much for the kind words. The hall had been setup before hand in case of incliment weather (solar flares) or other disturbance outside. Fortunately our planning paid off as we needed to use it. The results were very well received and the rally was a huge success. Thank you for attending.

Well done Vera
In a single episode you give notice to the cluster that the Stormriders are rabble.
I seem to recall a similar antic pulled (and bragged about) Oh yes, it was the Goons, smartbombing in Jita. Is this your legacy? Is this how you want to be remembered? Is it your intent to disrupt the travel of those uninvolved in your struggle? Your actions show no consideration for any other pilot in the cluster. On the plus side, it saves the Amarr the trouble of outlining the problem with the Stormriders.

Assuming the lost value of ships from the Stormriders is greater than the value of three measly ships, then you have yet to prove your point. The Amarr are wealthy and a couple of ships here and there aren't going to do much.

Agreed Kyguard it is estimated 8-10 warships of the misfit Minmatar were destroyed by Concord. I believe I heard some were Typhoon Battleships as well. The allied losses were a Curse, a Maller and one smaller ship I believe.
As for the Dreadnaught if Im not mistaken (and I may be I'm not sure) the Revelation was the flagship of His Lordship Deacon Lozerno Azir who was a featured speaker at the rally. As ships of such firepower are not normally allowed above .4 space by concord law a member of the Theology Council itself is one of the few people I could imagine overruling that regulation.

*Laughs*
So, Matari set off a series of smartbombs next to a station.
Are subsequently jumped upon by a vast Concord armada.
Amarr try to undock and attack said Matari.
Are prevented from doing so by the horde of Concord ships creating something called 'lag'.
Matari and Amarr return to tried and tested methods of hurling mud in the forum.

Im all in favor of the abolition of Slavery. Howevor, it is sad to see the moronic antics of these Pirate collaborators take such a high amount of media time as I do not see you doing anyting productive to end slavery.
Matter of fact, past actions and whome you collaborate with further encourage kidnapping innocents for slaves, and murdering innocent civilians.
If you want to end slavery, then please start coming up with better strategys, than kamikazing Tempest battleships, sacrificing countless crew members for the sake of popping a spare frig or cruiser or whatever you managed to kill in that shameless display of assinine idiocy.

the goal was simple, disrupt the rally divert attention. The cost was small thanks to some wealthy investors who will remain nameless. As for the mud once again you see the amarr loyalest docked in fear while the terrorists are out side killing people.
When I sat down with my crew, and the other pilots we all knew there was a good chance of not returning. We also knew that while this single act might not bring change it would make an impression. Hundreds of people who were going about their business in amarr now know the the lengths we will go to for freedom. They were neutral at the start of the day now they have been forced to choose sides. While others prefer diplomacy we go for a more direct path, more will ask the question is slavery right, is it needed, is it just...
People can talk all they want, but nothing chances the fact that we were the ones out there prepared to die for a message and one truth, Freedom.
Freedom
Freedom
there is nothing higher, with freedom you can seek your god, with freedom you can love.
Understand that we will do anything for freedom, no loss is to great, no crime to heinous, no person an innocent.

That footage is certainly a sight, it is very attention grabbing and would divert attention from the rally. However..people who were not aware of the rally now are.
Though people saying you didnt kill many ships, i doubt that was the whole point. Disruption

They certainly did not disrupt the rally since the ceremony went on undisturbed during the incident. What they did succeed in - after all pilots finally reported in and are now accounted for - was to destroy two Maller class cruisers and a Curse class recon ship. This is for accuracy purposes, not to weigh up ship losses.
The rally was a grand success and if anything, Stormriders, you gave an incredibly telling example of where taking the road of terrorism leads: to madness and the loss of the little humanity that you had in the first place.
I pity those who had to give their lives in this futile act of the most savage barbarism. ------------------------------

Didn't I already say so, that I'd expect some Matari terrorists to try to pull somethin' like this?
I applaud the Stormriders' futile attempts to prove their ideological purity for vindicating my projections and having provided me entertainment that even the Gallenteans cannot provide.

I always thought the point of terrorism was to inspire terror in ones targets.
Terror has not been induced in the Amarr as a result of this attack, and so it should surely be seen to be a failure.
Had many people been killed and the Rally really disrupted, Stormriders' goals would have been completed. However, it seems that this is not the case.
In fact it seems that Stormriders came off worse from this by going up against Concord.
A valiant attempt, but I'm not really sure you can claim it to be a victory as your goals can't really have been acheived.
Of course, I'm not entirely sure what your goals are, and it is entirely possible that this was a diversion created to cause a much deeper strike that people are not yet aware of.
I guess time will tell.

Edited by: Camar on 14/08/2006 13:13:51 The main objective was accomplished; To show that no place inside amarr space is safe from attacks and that no cost is too high.
Secondary objectives; Two mallers and a curse is the correct losses, which was stated in the initial post, was less damage inflicted then anticipated.
From what the organiser Mr. Archbishop has stated, the rally in itself was not even partly disrupted. So apparantly this objective was not sucessful.
What the effects, if any, this particular attack caused we leave for the future to unfold.
SRS would also like to appologize to any and all organisations who had planned on attacking various participants at this rally. We did not think our little attack would cause the disruptions it apparantly did.
