Bearing in mind im listening to the pendulum album as i type this, You think in time CCP could re-open the eve gate and a the gate-way back to the Milky-way? Earth needs a visit from the Amarr, Caldari, Matari, Gallente and Jovian Empires.
Would be so sweet if CCP gets alot more subscribers that they open up another Galaxy to hold us all

I like this idea. Not only the EVE gate, but other wormholes could be discovered that lead to uncharted regions of space.

I'm guessing we'll get this sometime after Jovians, but before the monsters from beyond the stars come to eat out our braiiins.

That's "frontier" and I don't see what it would add. Sol would just be another solar system with nine planets and most of the asteroid belts focused around the fifth and sixth one. Why not just add more systems to this galaxy?
Beyond that, the Terrans would have technology that puts the Jovians to shame, and would wreck Concord with a thought and a glance. Remember, we had enough time to evolve into five separate races while they were continuing their technological development. They would probably be almost as tough as Ginger Magician.
