Edited by: LizzardPee on 14/08/2006 02:28:03 I was flying my ship around, moving some stuff about when I started to think, if my ship could talk, what would it sound like? If a Tempest, Tristan, Caracal, Or Apocalypse could talk, what would they sound like? What type of attitude would they have? For instance, would an Apocalypse sound justified in it's action? Would an interceptor have a high pitched faster paced voice? The questions are fun and interesting. Of course the AI might get annoying so you could have it only alert you to certain events and have others off. For instance, if you fall below a certain amount of ammo you set, it could give you a warning. If you put too much cargo in it to undock with or if the contents are illegal in the sector you are in.
The responses could be colorful to. Like if a drone was getting attacked or gets blown up, one ship might say, I hope you treat me better than you do that drone. Or if you have an exotic dancer in your cargo hold and some spirits it might Respond, Party Time in the captain's room. If it was an Amar ship it might display concern over your recent moral decisions. There could be numerous combinations that will illicit different responses. It's possible that ships over time will some how mold with your play style and get use to your responses to it.
The skies really the limit and IĈm sure there are plenty of ideaĈs I have not thought of that you can add.

Well there are a lot of interesting things it can do for you. For instance, you could have it prepare a graph of how much and what types of dmg you were recieving during the last battle. You could also have a graph for your dmg done with what ammo against which enemy and also have it at the different ranges you were at. It could also give you a warning if you were recieving more damage than you can repair. You can of course go out of game for much of this but it would be helpful in game. It could be via a new interface you open from your ship. Call it an advance log. In pure pvp a voice talking to you would be a distraction, but I'm sure there are plenty ideas that could be used to expand the basic idea.

Well, when your ships AI can't figure out how to hit the ab on when you tell it to auto piliot, you know you're in trouble. EVE has so many immersion breakers that it would be nice just to have a few more things to really catapult you into the EVE realm.
Ellaine TashMurkon, if you're volunteering, I have a nice cushy chair next to me you can sit in
