Hi, just need a little info here.
But im after going into piracy in the next coming months, but before i do, I have been told that having atleast 1-2mil SP, is when i should start. But in the mean time, the ONLY ships ill be looking at are the
- Omen
Awsome looking ship, not really a fan of the Maller.
- Prophecy
This too an awsome looking ship, looks like a meat grinder (or the beak of a eagle).
Anyways I like to fly around in "style", thus why im really interested in cool looking ships, but its not only the look of the ship im totally botherd about, it will be whats inside High/Med/Low.
With this post, i kinda don't need "get another ship" saying ect ect, cause i wont be solo pirating. And i've heard that the Omen/Prophecy are good support ships.
So do any of you fellow pirates have any good setups that you can be willing to share. And also a little information on what the setup will be doing, if im not asking to much... so i can finally get my saying of "YAAARRRR!!!"

both those ship are basicly dmg dealers, the proph can tank as well, omen is a pretty crappy tanker. really its good that you are going to be in a gang cause these ship are no good for solo piracy. they both have too few mids to be effective. As such you will be a dmg dealer. fly with someone that can tackle and do ecm and you should just concetration on doing as much dmg as possible
omen would be something like
4 heavy pulse
AB,scrambler 20k, cap
mar, 2x eanm, heatsink, RCU
tech2 where ever you can of course

you don't need that 1-2 millions of SP... I have bout 500k and kill successfully solo...
all you need is patience or a mate to gang up with

The problem with using the Prophecy for piracy is it's only seconded by the Ferox in terms of unmaneouverability. It's not gonna be much fun warping into a belt, seeing your target 10km outside scram range and spending the next 20 seconds watching them warp away. 
But despite that it's a great ship when it manages to lock down its prey. You can gank it (6 Heavy Pulse + 3 Heat Sinks) or tank it (6 Focused Medium Pulse + 1600mm + 2 EANM + MAR) as needed and, unlike its cruiser siblings, you won't have much trouble fitting it.
I never really got on with the Omen. I much prefer the Maller simply because it can outdamage the Omen (one extra turret + more room for damage mods) while fitting a decent tank at the same time. Have a look at my Maller PvP thread, then just untank and regank it a little to address the piracy balance.
Edit: just read that you aren't soloing, so Prophecy + tackler will rock.

The Prophecy looks like a frozen chicken and has comparable handling in flight. I wouldnt solo with it personally, as I like some better speeds.
If you dont have that high SP's yet, you might want to consider stepping into a Punisher at first. They are cheap to loose (and that will happen when you just pick up your piracy career), and pretty decent if well set up against NPC'ers.

ty for your reply people, ill take in the info i have here an put it to some good use, but the last poster, ill take your advice an start practicing with frigates to get into the PvP, and as for both of them, i "wont" be solo'ing in any of those ships, just in a small man gang >:D
