Is this the first of a series of posters? What is the meaning behind reference to these ancient children's toys?
I have a feeling we will soon know...

I guess I don't need to ask you about the wingman and ship issue...
Nevertheless, a statement would be nice. If that is your poster, of course. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

Edited by: Athule Snanm on 12/10/2003 00:06:48 Let me tell you then the story of the menace of the carebears. Many, many ages gone by - even before the opening of the EVE Gate - an evil plot was launched to enslave right thinking and pure children who would one day become the Amarrian race. They were a child's toy, fashioned so as to closely resemble the mighty grizzly bear (a forerunner of the slaver hound) and thus prepare these young disciples for an arduous life amongst the primitive crags of Earth.
Behind this noble ideal though, there was a dark secret - for each of these toys were soaked in slow releasing drug which caused a soporific effect. Drowsiness, dull thinking and, perhaps most bizarely, an uncontrollable desire to suck small pebbles. Fortunately this wicked design was put to an end by the Inquisition, all of these bears being collected and forming a pyre for the cleansing of their creators.
Let us now travel forward into our currrent time. We are once again beset by the dangers posed by mighty candidates - any one of whome may harbour a hidden carebear-like danger for Amarrians everywhere. Let us examine each in turn:
http://www.jerichofraction.net/stuff/korazorbear.gif Kor-Azor Bear: what plans does Kor-Azor have to defend us from the many obstacles in our path to greatness? I don't know, and judging by his pose he doesn't either. Clearly Kor-Azor goes against the true meaning of Heideran VII's words as revealed in Pax Amarria. Without slaves our race will be cursed to travel the path of the carebear, sucking asteroids to the end of time.
http://www.jerichofraction.net/stuff/kadorbear.gif Kador Bear: whilst once Kador Bear was a fierce beast able to throw back our enemies, his laziness will allow our enemies to grow stronger every day. Must we wait for them to strike first?
http://www.jerichofraction.net/stuff/tashmurkbear.gif Tash-Murkon Bear: way-hey! Let's put a shop-keeper in charge of the Empire! Not!
http://www.jerichofraction.net/stuff/sarumbear.gif Sarum Bear: surely the Sarum bear embodies the fighting spirit of Amarr that won us an Empire? Well, whilst the Sarumites may wish to reopen the Reclamation War what of the enemies within? Yes whilst our external enemies will suffer those Amarrians who have succumbed to heresy and atheism will be allowed to go about their business as if nothing had happened. The Sarumites are also suspected of dealings with the Jovians in a devilish pact to obtain mighty weapons.
You know what the other choice is! And that choice is as refreshing as QuafeÖ Ultra - the taste of Victory, watch for the special promotional cans!
Vote Ardishapur! Vote Ath¨le Snanm!

Great! Not to say divine! For a short moment, I think, I actualy believed. Looks like we at least are going to have a good laugh if Ardishapur gets the throne.
Though I doubt you will value this out of my mouth, I must say I admire your propaganda skills.
ooc: ROFL. I have dreadful memorys of these bears, and especially the kids that would bring them with them to kindergarden, from my childhood. And I am happy to have forgotten what they were called both in English and German. Though I am not a regular poster I am a regular reader and just could not resist posting here given it had these horrible bears in it.

Tis true i'm afraid. We at the Inquisition have a desperate need to Purify all we find with small pebbles secreted about their person. Call us fanatical if you like, but small pebbles are one of the reasons behind the mess we find ourselves in today. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Inquisition Long live the Inquisition Long live the Emperor Long live Amarr!

I never thought I would be able to say this to an Amarr Inquistor - at least not with sincerity: that made me laugh out loud. - - - -
I have measured and described the stars, their great and countless multitude. What man has seen their revolutions and entrances? Not even the angels see their number, yet I have recorded all their names.

We won't talk about how many cruisers I lost this weekend, nor how many nice railguns, or T2 enhancers. We're going to skip right over that. We're going to talk about my new Raven. It is like flying a small city, and the city's only export is missiles.
