Hi guys
My speed on the Hawk is 288m/s and with 1mn AB Tech 2 fited the max speed is 500m/s. Same with the MWD T1, the max speed is 1088m/s.The ship is only fited with ab or mwd the rest of the slots are empty.I have tryed to repack but still nothing.
I have ejected from the ship and gave it to a corp mate to test it ... he had the same speed 1088m/s.
The default speed of the Hawk is 235 x 500% =1175 ..and with my skills it should be much more..Anyone else have this
problem with the hawk.?
I have navigation to lv 4 and acceleration control to lv 2.
I mean this must be wrong i fly faster with caracal with MWD t1.
I have made a petition but i got no response:(.
Can u please help me ?

this is dependent on the mass of the ship i think and assault frigates are lucky if they can keep up with t1 cruisers in my experience.
can you put a price on peace?

The ship's mass is the problem, look at the 1mn ab or 1mn mwd they give thrust of 1500000 and a mass increase of 500000 so they only give 1000000 thrust while the hawk has a mass of 2250000, which is more the double the thrust.
In conclusion, the bonus will not be the percent listed on the propulsion mod, u have to account for the mass/thrust ratio.

Well, this is strange in my experience my Harpy with AB 1 T2 is doing around 650 m/s with MWD is also faster than your HAWK.

Welcome to caldari where we have fuzzy math.
210 * 2.5525 = 491 (should be 536)
(+155.25% AB on an eagle)

Its the same for all AF's since they upped their mass. They are no so bloody heavy they dont get full advantage from frigate speed modules.
Even the Jaguar which is supposed to be really fast is too heavy to efficiently use a frigate AB.

Jags hit over 2k/s with mwd, thats not that bad...

Yes, a Jag will hit 2km/s with an MWD, but it SHOULD do over 3km/s. So like i said, its too heavy to effeciently use frigate speed mods.

To put it simply,
AF have boosted armour/shield HP, awesome resists, and pack quite a punch.
but packing all that hardware into such a small frame, comes at a cost.
it weighs more than it's T1 equivalent.
the result is reduced mobility, and top speed.
I've fitted a T2 AB to a retribution, and found, that there's little advantage over the T1, since the MAX speed the T2 can give IS HIGHER than the T1, but doesn't actually provide MORE thrust.
T1 frigs and interceptors hit the max allowed speed of the module before the thrust is ecceeded.
AF's is the other way round.
