my memory is failing me a bit and now I'm unsure whether the message when you abort training a skill was wrong in the beginning (it said that you will lose skill points), whether you would actually lose points in the very beginning, or neither.
Can someone please confirm/deny? ;-)

I'm pretty sure that during beta if you aborted, you lost skillpoints.

Jeez, I can't exactly remember either.
Wasn't it that if you aborted the skill you lost the SP, but if you switched skill training without aborting they remained?
Damn, it was all so long ago.

Eh? Post-lunch confusion...
When you abort a skill, you don't loose any skillpoints you are training. You need to be un-training in order to plug in an implant or clone jump.

Edited by: Bhaal on 14/08/2006 14:18:43 Well, from my memory if you went from one skill to the another without aborting, you got the message that said you were going to lose any skill points you aquired for that skill level in progress...
I thought for sure that's how it worked... ------------------------------------------------ Current Hobby other than EVE

I think it used to be this way :
When aborting, you got the message "omg you're gonna lose sp you idiot" (worded slighly differently). In some cases, the training done on that skill would actually appear to decrase aswell (although that was fixed by a relog).

Man I remember sitting at the computer at some silly time of the morning waiting for a skill to finish as it was "imminent". I was not happy after 45 mins and logged. Ah the good old days :D

Yep,spot on. I'm not sure whether it was really true and if it was at which point it stopped being so. Still pulls at a brain string when I abort to clone jump.
