Info states "The sience of interfacing biological and machine components. Allows the use of cybernetic implants" and I assumed raising the levels would allow you to ware more implants. However a friend of me has two active with only a level 1 skill! Since this has a training multiplier of three I was wondering what it would boost if not the amount of implants to wear. Anybody with a clue

Most probably there will be two uses - one is that the more advanced Implants coming down the pike will require a higher level Cybernetics skill to plug in. The second one is the oft-rumored but not in sight skill to extract skills from biomass (dead player corpse) and create a skill kit. Cybernetics may be a prerequisite for that one as the new Advanced Manufacturing skilltree shows. CEO The Cinnaban Order "Dedicated to a Free Minmatar Republic" |

If you check the market tab for the implants, basic, standard andvanced and elite and see what skill requirements they demand and how much bonus they give you'll get a notion how important those skills and implants are.
More types of implants are planned, bonuses for various stuff other then attributes simular other skills. I'm sure they are comming but not exactly what they do, wild guesses like %bonus to rate of fire, or ship speed bonus arn't too far of the truth I think.

It would seem logical to be able to take the implant from the corpse and then reuse it (or sell it). ------------- RUS / RUA RUSSIAN Team
