Take out another loan and contact Valve. In four months, when they're done rewriting the section of the HL2 code that was leaked, buy a production license from them. Make a modification for the engine that allows players to get out of their ships and walk around the stations in FPS mode. Sell the option to use this feature as an expansion pack.
Do this, and I will personally be held liable if any of your development team have to work again after the project is finished.

first person fighting in the ships would be cool too
flying in ur ship chasing pirates lol
no auto targetting just u ur mouse and ur keyboard
the auto targetting shoud stay availeble as option though so each can have his/her way :)

A very nice idea with the "walking around on the stations". Also brught up by many others. A very good idea, but unfortunatly I don't think it will happen

CCP development team members have already discussed the idea of exiting one's ship and exploring stations/planets in first person view mode. They said that maybe, maybe it would be added in as an expansion pack in 1 or 2 years.

I do hope not. There are a zillion and one first-person games already out there; the last thing we need is for any of the EVE developers wasting time on turning this into yet another one.

I agree, EVE doesn't need the first person aspect to be a great game. Though I think that exiting one's ship and navigating to different parts of the station via menus would be cool. Also to land on planets and do the same. Possibly being able to buy land, farm it or build factories on it to produce things, etc, though perhaps only available to the more well off players.
I think that would be enough of an added boost to the game without going for a full FPS plugin to the game engine to satisfy the people who want FPS action in EVE.

great idea, walking around inside a station could be really interesting. It would make you feel more part of the world of EVE
