Hi all.
I'm thinking of grabbing myself a laptop soon(Ö) but I'd like a little advice as I'd want one suitable for EVE. I've looked through a few threads here and have a rough idea of what's needed - dedicated non-shared graphics, high ram, etc - but I'd like a little friendly advice if possible, as I have little to no knowledge of laptop capabilities.
I've seen one machine with the following specs. AMD Mobile Turion 64X2 TL52 Genuine Windows« XP Home 64-bit Mobile Dual Core Technology 1024MB DDRII 667Mhz Memory 100GB Hard Drive 256MB nVidia Geforce GO 7600 Graphics 15.4" WXGA (1280x800) (this machine here)
Does this look like it will be able to run 3 accounts at once? I'd want to be using it for multiple account mining and/or fleet pvp on a single account.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I did post in the tech lab but got no replies there).

I hate reflective screens with a passion.
I use real mirrors when I want to shave.
You should test if the touchpad suits you. Some of the Asus chassis have an unlucky placement so I have a problem not to touch the buttons or the field itself by accident.
The rest of the hardware sounds okay.

Pretty useless. And the reader is way outdated.
Try to find a similar machine in a local shop and check if you like the mirr^h^h^hdisplay and if you can use the keyboard. Test it with sunshine, and a brighly coloured t-shirt or something like that.
You might run into problems with memory allocation on some laptops, but that's something you can't know without testing - and that might change with BIOS and drivers. --*=*=*--

Whatever you do, don't get a laptop from Fujitsu-Siemens, they are utter crap and you'll face overheating problems (along with general performance issues up to hardware failures) more often than not -- and usually they start about 1-2 weeks after the guarantee has run out. ____________________ first!!1!! -Capsicum

That's exactly the same machine I plan to buy next month. Only I intend to invest a tad bit more and get it with 2,048 MB RAM.
These things are considerably cheaper in Germany though...

I'm still looking, that linked machine was just one of the first ones I came across. I figured it's no good me looking around if I don't have the knowledge. Now I can compare others and see what's what - I bought my desktop from those guys I linked to a month or so ago, so wouldn't want to deal with them again of possible
Thanks for the help.

There's a reason it's called Rip-Off Britain - I'm guessing things are considerably cheaper almost anywhere
EDIT - These forums are winding me up... How many times do I have to tell it to set Amano to default for crying out loud???

I thought I had... several times.
Maybe is because I'm on the work PC and someone deleted cookies.
