Me and a mate run Level 4 missions from time to time, sometimes it's difficult 2b on at same time, just found out the basics of gang ships that all the other person needs 2b is in the system, so 2 get the effects my mate would only have 2b logged on and outside a station but not necessarily playing. PROBLEM IS i've searched the FAQ's and can't really find a guide on how gang mods work, so if anyone could provide a link or give a basics overview that would b great. I've tried reading the gang mod descriptions but they tend 2b a little bit cryptic. What would also b nice is if anyone could recommend a BC setup for purely gang modding, no attack or defense. I appreciate any help anyone can give, thanks

Your writing style makes my eyes bleed.
For example - Damnation (Amarr Command Ship)as Mining Enhancer
4 HPL II + 3 Gang Assist Modules (Mining Laser, Mining Drones, Rapid Deplyoment) Cap Rechargers Middle Thermic, 2x EANM, 2 x Med Armor Rep, 800 Plates
The miners in your gang simply gonna love you and you can tank the spawns in 0.0 Mining Ops.
For Missions you just need to decide which is the most supportive task (Shield or Armor Enhancements etc.)

Gang modules can only be fitted to battlecruisers and command ships (t2 battlecruisers). I think they can be fitted to carriers etc as well but somone else will have to confirm that.
The training for gang warfare is pretty intensive and time consuming but a dedicated player who has focused on it is a very useful to have in a group.
Gang warefare skills can be broken into 4 categories that are "linked" to each races philosiphy. - Skirmish Warfare Generally orientated towards speed and tackling work.
- Armoured Warfare Orientated towards armour tanking.
- Information Warfare Orientated towards electronic warfare (I'm pretty certain)
- Seige Warfare Orientated towards shield tanking.
The base skill for gang warefare is leadership 5. After that the gang warfare skills branch into their respective groups. Each of the above skills will give you a bonus per level regardless of the ship and module you fly. As long as you are in the gang in the same system you will get the benefits. For the rest of this I will take armoured warfare as the example to keep things clear. In order to use the armoured warfare gang modules you must train Armoured warfare to level 5. This will allow you to train the Armoured warfare spec skill. To use the gang module the Armoured warfare spec skill only has to be at level 1, however at each level of training the spec skill the bonus the module gives increases (also to have any real effective it should be trained to level 4 or 5). This trend applies the same to any branch of the gang warfare skills.
Tech 1 battlecruisers have a bonus that allows them to fit the gang warfare modules (high slot). However they can only run 1 module at a time. This can be overcome by fitting command processors (mid slot) that allow one additional gang module to be run at the same time. When a gang module is activated it will give it's bonus to anyone in the same system in the same gang. Gang modules cannot be run when you are cloaked or in warp.
Each race has one varient of the tech 2 battlecruisers that get's both a bonus to improve the effectiveness of one type of gang warfare module type (armoured, skirmish, information or seige) and allows you to run 3 gang modules at once without command processors (command processors can still be added to run more than 3 modules if you wish).
Notes: Gang warefare skill and module bonuses do NOT stack. The game will only take the largest bonus being applied so having 2 people run the same module will have no effect as only the better of the 2 players will be giving a bonus. Command processors require squadron command trained to level 5 (correct me if I've put the wrong skill down). To train most of the gang warefare skills to level 5 requires close to a month of training each and as such it requires some serious time commitment to be an effective gang warefare specialist, however the difference you can make to a groups effectiveness is considerable.
Hope that helps.

Both Carriers and Motherships have the same CPU reduction bonuses as the battlecruisers and command ships for fitting the command modules .... POST WITH YOUR MAIN !!!!11111one

I have another question. Look at the description of Armoured Warfare:
Armoured Warfare. "Basic proficiency at coordinating armored warfare. Grants a 2% bonus to gang members' armor hit points per skill level."
Does that mean that the gang get 2% per level I train automatically or do I have to have a module running for it to take effect?

The warfare skills will take effect automatically on all gang members in the system with you, as well as your own ship. You don't need the module active for those basic skills to take effect. You can be flying any ship at all. .... POST WITH YOUR MAIN !!!!11111one

Very good description.
I think they lowered it to Sqaudron Command 4 now though due to too many folk whinning bout the time lvl5 took. It is possible to totally max a Command Ship with gang mods by fitting Command procs in addition to its normal 3 (i miss SengH )

Just looked it up and command processors do indeed need squadron command to level 5. If I remember right it was the command ships that had the squad command skill requirement lowered to level 4.
