Hi Guys!
I was asking myself if anybody of you ever tried a 5/10 Drone Complex with an Ishtar.
Is it soloable (Includig stage 7 lesser strain mother) and if so then what setup did work for you?
Which Sentry Drones should I take with me?
Any suggestion is welcome

I couldnt do it with wardens (not enough damage on strain mother even from outside "omgwtfbbq" range). I started to do it once with bouncers, and it looked like it was going to work, but then a pirate jumped a corpmate in a belt in system and I warped off to help them. I never did come back to try again. That was the last time i was in that complex for various reasons.
Id assume if you have good skills (especially drone interfacing, sentry drone operation, and the other damage affecting skills) you could do it with the higher damage mod types. It will take a while though.

You can solo and 8/10 with an ishtar so a 5/10 should be easy. The key is to shield tank it w/ a small gisti booster. That way you can constantly have it running and tank forever.

Unless you use the semi-exploit and can shoot the boss from 50km+ without your drones, you cannot solo it even if you had the highest DPS officer gear.

I highly doubt that you can tank all those drones and still have enough DPS to break the tank of the overseers solo. You'd be lucky to get past the second stage.

DPS is essentially constant on an Ishtar. You can run dual armor reps and 3 hardeners continously if you really want to - no idea if thats enough of a tank for this particular complex.

Thats patently false. Ive personally done everything but the final strain mother in a 5/10 drone plex solo in an ishtar, and it was in many ways easier than doing the same plex in a raven or domi.
As I said in my first post, the issue will be if you have enough damage with sentry drones to break the strain mothers tank (because you cant get closer than 55km or it goes into super tanking mode and is pretty much not soloable by anything at that point).
With warden sentry drones, I didnt have enough damage from 60k to do it. With bouncers, it looked promising, but I had to cut the attempt short due to pirate activity in system, and never went and tried again.

I never thought this would be possible, but then again I can't fly HACs yet. I will definitely try this, interfacing lv5 is about 20 days right now... would be less if I wasn't stuck in a crappy 0.0 jump clone with no implants ; ;

I hope you didn't train interfacing V instead of heavy drones V. (Unless your looking to get in a carrier)

Why? Hes obviously not going to just fly a heavy drone ishtar. if you train interfaciing 5 you benefit
