I cant remember my cyclone fitting(sold the thing once I could fly bs, only used it in lvl3 missions in those rare cases where claw/jag damage wasnt enough to break tank on some hacs anyway) but I think it was as follow
5 720mm arty, 3 heavy missile launcher AB, med shield booster, shield boost amp, 2 inv field(or mission specific hardners) 3 gyro and a pdu/rcu
and an experimental setup I tried was 5 ac, 2 med nos(cant remember if it was 3 or something else in last) ab, large shield booster II, large shield extender II, 2 inv fields gyro/rcu/pdu in lows cant remember exactly had round 6k shield with decend resists, large shield booster cant run for long, but with bonus to shield boost ammount, just put it on for 2-3 ticks to bring shield back up then turn it off, let shield buffer damage and then turn it on again when shields are too low/cap is recharged(wich is where nos helps)
4 med drones(valkyrie for angels)
- It is much more efficient to talk to yourself in person than via the chat system.

Edited by: inSpirAcy on 16/08/2006 18:58:41 Been a while since I used a Cyclone on L3s, but I think my setup was...
5x 720mm 'Scout' Artillery I 2x 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher I 1x Small Tractor Beam I
1x Medium Shield Booster II 1x Shield Boost Amplifier I 2x Invulnerability Field II 1x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
3x Gyrostablizer II 1x Internal Force Field Array
You can downgrade components to T1 or lesser named, to account for cost. I dropped the MSB II for a Gistii A-Type Small Shield Booster at one point, but those cost a small fortune nowadays.
Edit: And don't forget some drones!

Just replace one Invul with a Ballistic Deflection Field. You've already got good explosive resists for fighting Angels, so it should work off the bat.
Use an ammo like Fusion or Titanium Sabot to make the biggest dent in Angel ships.

I find that using arty and heavy missiles makes killing fast frigates harder than it ought to be.
Your shield resists against kinetic are decent and explosive are great, but some angels do EMP and therm, so invuls are probably better than specific hardener. I found 2 invulns was overkill, so I usually equip just 1 invul and a cap recharger for level 3 angel missions.
5 @ 720mm according to budget, depleted uranium ammo 3 @ arbalest assault, piranhas
med boost II boost amp AB II invuln field cap recharger
pds tracking enhancer gyro emergency damage control
4 @ valkyrie
