I have nothing against pirates per-se. Or wars between Megacyte producing regions. (both bring spice to our universe)
But lets be honest the Megacyte situation is getting silly & having a huge economic impact on the growth of our overall galactic economy.
How do Pirate Corparations & the Regional Powers feel about starting an amnesty perhaps lasting a week or two until Megacyte flow increases to its previous position.
You could all mine for a bit and reverse the lack of Megacyte?
Open discussion.
I personally would like Megacyte flow to increase and to see more folk mining out in 0.0. Instead of the usual sight of battleships mining scord in 1.0

simple people in battleships mining scord are too scared to go to 0.0 regions and suck bistot!.Or infact have got bs's too early for their extra mining laser possiblities rather than defense or fighting skills

What have pirates to do with megacyte deficit anyway? There are at most 3 gates camped every night in Eve, if that. Blaim your fellow alliance for that.

The Megacyte Shortage was based on to fact:
1) The Bistot astroids havent respawned.
2) The Regional Alliances have more to do fight each other. No time to mine Bistot.

Too much of the megacyte is being used for duplication exploit purposes to be sold on the market

I think your missing another reason for the shortage of mega/zydrine. The amount of people that have been doing agent missions has also contributed alot to the lack of minerals.

Aaah that old chesnut .. the obsession with the Miner 2 bps and implants that has currently gripped all of eve. I hope both become available for common consumption for a decent fee and then we can all continue mining, producing, pirating and feuding.

There are much MUCH more than 3 gates being camped on a typical night. Bistot 'roids are respawning all the time. None of the alliances would sign a peace treaty for a week, as none of them want their enemies to have that long to possibly get an edge on production.
There's plenty of megacyte and zydrine out there to be mined, it's just a pain in the ass. I wish it'd been this way in the beginning.

After mining bistot, I have realized 12,000 isk per piece of megacyte is very reasonable.

Right of the bat you naturally assume I have used my knowdledge of this exploit. How rude.
I don't cheat in multiplayer, I never have, and I never will.
Also, CCP are quite able to monitor this kind of duping, so it would be rather dumb to do.
I still find it rather amusing they have not closed the hole yet, and sad. Diablo II, a former favorite of mine, really died, gamewise and game economy-wise because of duping. I'd hate to see EVE follow in it's footsteps.

Same here.
This bug has been around for at least 3 months.
It's related to lag, CTD, and having the items in your cargo/hangar.
Brings new meaning to all those people in my address book going online/offline every 10 mins

Same here.
We accendently found out. We reported it , if is it fixed, i doesnt know.
After that we changed our thinking about people they sit in a station in a system with permanet lag problem.

i reported it once without, giving away names, telling them that we know people who keep doing it.
i got a reply that someone would contact me if they wanted to find out more about it.
didn t get a message since then.
i can t find any real sense in building up things under this circumstances.

Xeno is correct, there is tons of bistot out there. You just have to risk your ship to go out and scout for it. Thats all I mine. A small group of 6 players (mostly haulers) a couple of hours a day can bring in 300 million in refined mega and zydrine a week. I do it and we have battles and scirmishes with other corps all the time. |

You expect corporations and alliances to give access to megacyte resources? Access to the only thing in this game that truly defines power? The people who control bistot-rich regions are guarding the only valuable item in the entire game and it would be folly to share it with everyone.

If you want to mine bistot and not worry (to much) about the alliances try B-T3QY region outside the great wildlands. Its like 35 jumps to nearest station but rich with bistot.....gl to you all

Nope. The people who are guarding it tend to spend a lot of time defending or pirating the asset instead of capitalizing on it. I have mined in both Stain and Curse (pre-war) and there was a whole slew of nice 'fresh' rocks in both.
All this talk about no bistot is just a lie by those who would happily strangle the economy for simply no good purpose other than owning their territory.
Just try switching on Pilots in space on the galatic map. It puts a lie to Stain and Curse Alliance making use of their resources. The tend to cluster in areas fighting and exercising their strength in arms.
My advice to Stain and Curse encourage more mining corps in your backyard because don't make me laugh about how you are mining all the rocks in your space. Cos its a load of bs.

Eve sucks. Not because megacyte shortage or because someone got tech5 item/pb or whatever. It sucks because it's static. In the real world, megacyte shortage would mean that:
a.) someone would start fueling up tanks, carriers, airplanes and choppers.
b.) eventually they would learn to build without it.
All I see is people whining.

No.
What you may be forgetting is that carebears aren't the only ones capable of mining. Any player with an interest, full learning skills and 2 weeks can have enough mining skills to get 4 bist per miner II per cycle. What role would carebears play to help?
Besides, as you have noticed fighting all the time is hard work, and replacing a BS takes a lot of Megacyte and/or money, even if you have BPs.

a.) CA, and SA are allready doing that....
b.) Natural resources or lack of can determine the victor in any war. In WWII ****** was short on fuel for his army, and that hindered many of his attempts to control what he had.
