If I steal from someone's can, am I flagged to everyone in that person's gang as well? What if people gang them/join their gang after the fact? I know you get flagged to their whole corp. What about alliance? If I steal from a persons can who is in a noob/NPC corp, am I flagged to the whole NPC corp?
Because I said so...

You will be flagged to only the person, and if they are in a real corp, you'll be flagged to them also for 15mins.
It does not apply to NPC. Unsure about Alliances though.

That is correct, the rumor that you are flagged to the can owners fellow gang members is false.
If you steal from someones can you are flagged to them and their whole corp for 15 minutes. Not counting noob corps.

Only the dumb criminals are criminals. You have to be caught committing a crime to be a criminal  Otherwise, you're just a suspect

i dont consider looting cans that have been left by others when they are ratting a crime.
i consider it anti-lag operations.
