My guess would be that they are hoping for the goons to rebuild to crush them again, wich would probably be even worse for the goons morale then being camped 23/7. Letting them "rebuild" while always threatening a new attack is probably the most efficient way to "end" this. Basically the goons can't do anything without knowing that it will be destroyed again, wich isn't really a good base for building up anything with an alliance. This is what I find so interesting and exciting about all of this, even if I don't agree in the manner it was justified and is why I continually post despite the unnecessary abuse. Over time it could play out so many different ways, for example planting 2000+ angry little seeds that split up and blow away on the wind into many different corps and alliances. It's exciting to see where we'll all be in say 6 months time and what's going on politically as these seeds begin to flower. There is so much that could happen, so many different ways it can go - which for me is what I enjoy, the majority of eve politics seems to be based around who can lie, cheat and steal as much as possible - because the option is available in eve so many seem to assume that's all they should do. This is what actually brought GS to my attention, I thought the expose on D2 politics with the "youwhat sell out deal" was brilliant stuff even if exposing the treachery was looked down upon by veterans as "not what we do here in Eve" - a nice refreshing change from the usual same-old I thought. But I did get some nice stuff. t2/shadow serpentis/local hull expanders - I did die once.. But the 160mil I made out of it, was worth it :)

Cheers, dbp With respect, I've done that search myself and found that different members from BoB gave widely different views as to why they were doing it, how does this correlate to a 'unique sense of morality'? Doesn't seem unique with so many different views. I could go with 'unique sense of purpose' That'd fit. Check the rules for killboard links as I'm not 100% but I think it's along the lines of it's not allowed unless you're a mercenary corp and are linking for reasons of proof connected with contract. I think BoB are pulling back to fountain to deal with an equal opponent in Outbreak/Celestial Apocolypse which is why they're wrapping the Goonfleet campaign up early - although I can't be sure until I evemail BP Dreacher and get the response (thinks I'm an alt you see? or just doesn't want to answer). Because 5965 kills for 177 losses always looks bad .

Expect more from goons in the near future as 7 bil is really peanuts to 2000 players . 3500000 isk each member roughly :) Goons must be gutted they have to kill a bc rat each to replace that :/ if we assume BoB were there 3 weeks then they have cost each goon (assuming 2000 goons) a grand total of around 170k isk per day of their camping time :) Time well spent?

For all intents & purposes, I'd say the objectives have been bloody well met : the Goon leadership has vanished, the Goonies themselves are AWOL in the forums, and in-game they scattered like*****roaches under the sun when BoB successfully struck and held the heart of GS-land, S-U - not an easy feat. That said, best of luck to individual Goon members, now you have a chance to develop as individuals.
