Just wondering if I am hallucinating or if anyone else is seeing this.
Doing lvl3 cbt missions for caldari, some of the new mission version have Ferox npcs.
Having just run the new pirate invasion a couple of times and some others, I noticed that none of these npcs dropped a can. Thats out of maybe 20 or so ferox.
My imagination, a wild run of bad luck, or something a bit broken? Just wondering.

it's not only about the Ferox. last stage , a blob of C and BC and I get 1-3 cans

Edited by: Slevin Kalebra on 18/08/2006 13:38:34 A bunch of missions were changed in the last patch (or maybe it was the one before that) - anyway, there have been 2 versions of several missions in the database and you can get either version from the agent (you can tell the difference by asking for more details). The old mission versions are being removed in the next patch so enjoy them while they last ;)
Many of the new level mission versions have battlecruisers where before they were just cruiser types (or possibly HACs - hard to tell with npc rats) - and it's not just the Gurista Ferox there are equivalent BCs for all rat racial factions.
I don't think the chances of the battlecruiser dropping a loot can are any greater (or less) than for any other ship type though. And they can still drop rubbish too which is sometimes worse than nothing (you know that "omg I cruised 70km in a Ferox for a Miner I again" feeling?)

It makes me wonder what they are trying to accomplish with no cans dropping in quite a few missions now. I had the new pirate invasion, spy stash then the new pirate invasion and after all 3 missions and hundreds of ship kills a total of 17 cans and less than 700 m3 worth of stuff. I enjoy looting cans in missions and these deadspace missions are crap. I am really glad I spent the time to get scrapmetal processing up on my alt lol.
I really think that the deadspace missions should mimic the complex versions of these npcs as far as cans go as the asteroid mission versions mimic the belt variants of the mobs. Now I lived in 0.0 and would never expect mission rats to drop loot as they do but some cans with some decent items here and there would not hurt anything. I hope they take a look at the upper crap that drops in level 3's and make some changes.
There are only a few missions left with worthwhile loot and a few missions left where there is a slight chance at a rare spawn in level 3's. There needs to be more diversity in missions and rewards if people are going to continue to do the same things over and over or eventually people will stop logging in to the game in my opinion. I know there are alot of people who don't pick up any cans and go from mission to mission, but I am not one of these people. I enjoy the market, building from mins melted down and if it continues this way I will be better off heading back into 0.0 boarded to tears ratting the same boring spawns and belts over and over...
