Bloated disks storing all those buillions of bookwarks we collectively have and huge fleet battles that beat the nodes so bad i can almost hear there screams coming out my speakers...

When the server reboots the pos uses a extra day of fuel. The last big issue cost me a weeks worth of pos fuel and a offline pos. I request reimburment but never recieved a reply. so i'm out ths cost of the fuel, the time it takes to gather the fuel and haul it to 0.0 and the lost income from the moon ore.

Valar	Posted - 2006.08.18 12:49:00 - [57] During downtime, I did a bit of routine maintenance of the database and started prep for next weeks patch. I decided that when I had done what I wanted to do, instead of using the rest of the downtime, to start up the cluster at 11:30. After startup I noticed that only 94 out of 102 nodes came up so, since it was so early, I decided to reboot the cluster to fix the issue. After the reboot, all nodes came up but quickly started dying off one by one, so I did another shutdown and looked into the logs, made a couple of changes on the database to decrease the load on it and started again, but the same thing happened. When the server was down once more, I took a better look at the logs and found a possible explanation for the crashes, recompiled the python code, replicated it out to the nodes and did a failover of the database server(even if that wasn't the problem, I did it just in case, and to get the database performance graphs to work again). I then started the cluster up for the last time, two nodes crashed at startup but its still up. I'm now going to dig properly into the logs and find the underlying cause for the issues.
