Just wondering.
As in... javelin is short range and spike long (Imagine Olympic Spike Throwing...err... Nailing) competition )
Even the icon of javelin is the iridium one while the spike is the plutonium Tech1 counterpart.

I think there's actually mild logic in the naming, although it is a bit counter-intuitive.
A javelin is a non-powered device which you throw at a target. In the grand scheme of things, despite what the Olympics would have you believe, it's not actually thrown very far; a powered device would reach much farther. So I guess in place of the propellant they pack more explosive and there's your short range, high damage ammo.

If the icons weren't reversed I would have tried to make up a funny reason like yourself as well... but it's a dead giveaway that they got them backwards

Just like lasers icons, drone icons and models, and shield hardener names. I miss anything? ---------------------

They should've used the EM Railgun ammo's name instead: Bolt Dark skies torn apart Heavens open before me I, the light of death |

I don't like the fact that Javelin is both a T2 railgun charge AND a T2 missiles. --------------------- Originally by: Herko Kerghans Nik = win. Period.

Same with Barrage and Hail, I'd say. I think of a barrage as some serious and unrelenting hurt, while I think of hail as something that travels quite a distance before it hits something.
But it's been scientifically proven that I'm weird, so take that with a grain of salt.
