I run 2 accounts alt tabbed in full screen mode on one a custom computer(7600 gt's in sli, amd athlon x2 3800, 2 gigs pc3200 ram, 250gig sata hd, thermaltake big typhoon heat sink and upgraded fan on the processor, 550 W psu)
I use my alt as cov ops to setup warp in points on targets for my alt in a battleship
Trouble is when i warp in and start fighting or sometimes after a while of running my comp like this it will just turn off and restart without warning. To combat this I started warping my alt out and logging him off while in warp. This has kept my comp from crashing.
I am wondering what could be causing this problem. Could it be the powersupply not being able to handle the load or are the graphics cards overheating? if someone has an idea could they please share. Thks

windows xp I assume? disable this "reboot instead of bluescreen" thingy and maybe try play on window mode. windows doesnt like fullscreen and tabbing between applications.

What sound card? its known that a few soundblasters cards crash out when trying to play sounds from two eve clients at the same time. (its a python thing, i think)
if this is the case, just kill sound on one of the clients. that solved my crashing.

That sounds as if the added graphics card load is pushing your power supply just a bit too far; 2 high-end cards, a big processor and 2G of ram might just do that. Undervoltage might just crash your pc - I was having this problem recently a lot.
Try disabling one of the cards and see whay happens, or put in a 650W supply. ---------------------------------------------- "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." ---------------------------------------------- |

550 Watt sounds a bit low. I run a 600W with a 3500 and an older graphics card.
