So tell me, why are there no Caldari Defensive POS Setups being posted on these forums?
Are missiles bad for defending POS?
Here is my current setup
5 Citadel Torps 6 Cruise Missiles 5 Torpedo Launchers
1 Sensor Dampener 1 Stasis Webifier 1 Warp Disruption 1 Mobile Laboratory 1 Ammunition Manufacturing Array
1 Intensive Refinery Array 1 Refinery Array 1 Corporate Hangar

Launchers use CPU. Reinfoced mode = No Launchers.

Could you explain that a little bit more? Why does reinforced mode = no launchers?
As I understand it, when a POS enters reinforced mode it just starts using stront, you cant refuel when in reinforced.

When in reinforced mode, the tower effectively shuts down. Without the tower providing CPU to the launchers, they are unable to fire.

I guess i still dont understand, if the tower shuts down, doesnt that mean no powergrid either? Then turrets are just as useless, why is it only CPU that drops to nothing?

Ok the reasoning behind it is that the tower gets beaten down to a certain amount of shields, it protects itself by fueling strontium in along with the rest of the fuel to make it invulnerable. Doing so though shuts down all the CPU Producing capability of the power, and is only capable of producing mass amounts of powergrid to fuel Turret Based Weapon systems.
Since All launchers require CPU to function, they will shut down when reinforced mode hits. So you will want some Railguns on there.
Though, the other side of the coin is that it doesn't really matter once it's in reinforced, your POS is already screwed.

This is not really true... Just because the POS is in reinforced doesnt mean you lose it. People manage to refuel POS all the time. Simply park a couple of ospreys there and be ready to launch a fleet to defend it. Obviously if you're massively outgunned and your opponents can attack the moment the POS comes out of reinforced you will probably lose it, but given lag and everything else right now having those modules firing during the reinforce can easily increase the damage your POS deals manyfold.

Well, ummà yeah. Missiles and Torps suck. Additionally, since no amount of guns or launchers mean much with POSÆs in their current state, how about going for an Uber Speed Bump? There is one thing a Caldari POS is good for, and that is driving an attacker insane:
1x Corp Hangar Array 8x Hardeners 12x each racial Jammer (total of 48) 5x Warp Scrambling Batteries 1x Warp Disruption Battery
50,000,000 hardened shields = approximately 30 million isk in siege fuel costs to put into reinforced (although my math has been known to suck so that might be off a few mil). Even with half a dozen dreads pounding on it in siege mode, youÆre looking at them needing over three-four hours if their logistics are ready for the task.
Due to the cycle time on 48 jammers, any support ship in range cannot fire. A friendly support fleet can warp in and engage at will.
To kill this thing, bring at least 15 Dreads, a lunch and pray the POS owner doesnÆt show up with a dozen NOS / Blaster BS to get in close and wtfpwn your ass.
Play to each POSÆs strengths.

That is an annoying, evil POS setup you have there Seleene
I still think it would be good to have some guns there to give some headache to smaller ships. If there are no POS weapons at all then you can blob with whatever ship you have which will to decrease the risk that the dreads get jammed.

The Dreads in siege mode cannot be jammed.
Check the bonuses on the Caldari towers. Now check what that does to the cycle / activation time on all those jammers.
As for a blob, feel free to send in a hundred and fifty ships of all types if you wish. All they can do is sit there and keep clicking away trying to target something while exploding as Tremor and Spike L, or Barrage and Void L, melt their hulls.
The point of a tower like this is to render an assault by anything other than Dreads useless. Anything else that warps into this tower is going to get jammed, scrambled and BBQ'd by a friendly support fleet. OFC, this assumes you have a friendly support fleet.
The OP asked for a defensive set-up. This is it. -

ah yes of course. Forgot about unjammable siege mode
You are right, that is great setup assuming there is a friendly fleet to defend the POS.
