hello. i am thinking to do lvl 4 mission in a vaga with the following setup.
5 x 425 mm autocannon tech II
1 x 10 mn AB tech II
1 x Webby
2 x cap recharger tech II
1 x medium rep tech II
2 x specific mission hardeners tech II
1 x 800mm armor plate tech II
1 x reactor control unit tech II (or maybe just a pd tech II)
5 x light drones
does anyone tryed to do mission in lvl 4 with vaga? i think that with its speed you wont get hit so hard + the good resitances.frigs and cruisers go down fast. you make almost 3k armor and i think you can hold the rep online all the time. even with warpouts there is no problem. i just want to know if this is possible. seems a nice and good ship. i am just wondering if the 5 x 425 mm autos can deal damage to battleships, so i can KO them. please give as many replies guys as you can. i dont want to loose a vaga :) . cheers.

Havn't tried but doubt this is a good idea. One some missions you'll be simply webbed by few Spider Drones and this will mean swift death.
That's generally a bad idea to tank with speed on missions.
From the other hand vaga against EM damaging enemies could be great.

yea i understand but 3k armor with good resitances aren't good? and doesn't spider drones pop up really fast from vaga? turrets got verry good tracking speed. so i am thinking the the speed (maybe put in a mwd) + 3k armor with rezistances is good. am i wrong?

than again another question is , at what agents i have to do mission ? taking into consideration my em and thermal armor rezistances. what mission npc's shoot most with em and thermal?. cheers. i know that gallente and caldari shoots kinetic and therm so those agents might be out of discussion.

Vaga is not curse and it have only two good resistances on armor. But these resistances are good (well OK) even on t1 ships. As I said against EM damage (Sansha, Blood Raiders, Amarrs/Ammatars) it'll be good but against lots of other ships i doubt it'll be great.
Let's take an example with many Mordus or Merc mission they spawn lots of missiles hit hard in close quaters and all is needed is 2 Spider Drones I (or 2 other tacklers) to slow you to 20 m/s. Then your AC will hit tracking problems.
Also not sure wil it have enough dps to break some nasty tanks.
Edit: obviously if you do missions say against Sansha you won't be killed on any lvl4, but i'm not sure about your dps. I suppose you can get more money doing lvl3 on vaga. Because without gyrostabs it'll take some time to kill BSs or t2 cruisers.

yea but if i do lvl 3 mission i could tank them with my shield so i can put lots of damage mods on low. 2 hardeneners 1 booster and 1 mwd for lvl 3 missions i think is enough. i do have all gunery train to 5 , auto spec is lvl 4 and hac to 4. engennering all to V . navigation is also good. what u think?
did anyone tried vaga for lvl 4 ?

ok it is obvious that i have to do sansha mission. know anyone know where to start? they shoot as i checked now the mission only with em and thermal , and that is my strongest point. all i need is to see if i can brake bs's tank. on everything else i think its fine. can anyone tell me where can i find some nice lvl 4 sansha agents? and also, is there a posibility to give kill mission that are not sansha ?

Go to the Amarr Empire. (Here you can get missions against Sansha and Blood Raiders).
It'll take some time i suppose for you to get standing required to do lvl4 mission. Meanwhile you'll see how easy/hard it will be on vaga.

Vaga for missions, even lvl 3 is not a good idea. Munnin is a much better choice, slap on some 720 arties and armor tank. You get better range and tank + is costs alot less than a Vaga.
Ideally, I would recommend a Typhoon for missions (if it has to be Minimatar :D)

Yep, this is the best all around matari ship.
For lvl3 though Vaga definitly enough.

I did lvl 4's in a friends Vaga, I shield tanked it (is that a sin ? I'm a caldari so I shield tank everything) and filled the lows with 2x gyro II a domination tracking enhancer a PDU II and a damage control unit.
I had 220mm autos TII guns and a med nos in the highs and could handle just about any mission that did not agro you all at once.
Killing the frigates was almost to easy (I had a web in the meds as well) and if things got dodgy then the ship turns and warps so fast its untrue. Having flown only caldari and the odd gallante ship I was mighterly impressed by the Vaga.

I guess you have simply to choose agents of the factions with the worst standing to Sansha and Blood Raider, and these are Amarr (-8 standing to Sansha) and Ammatar (-9 standing to Blood Raider). The corporation within the faction doesn't matter. But that doesn't mean you'll get missions against Sansha/Blood Raider exclusively (there will be definitely missions against Angels and other pirate factions too) but probably more than with the other factions.
In addition the location of the agent is important: An agent in the south (Amarr/Ammatar regions) will give you more missions against Sansha/Blood than an agent in the north (Caldari regions), even if the agents are from the same corporation. For example I had an Ishukone agent in Tash-Murkon and another one in Lonetrek: The Tash-Murkon agent gives much more missons against Sansha, the Lonetrek agent more against Guristas.

found a nice agent near a drone complex 9 out of 10 missions were take a wild guess - drone silo and drone kill missions (all fun) didnt affect drone faction standing as that doesnt exist .... yet

There is a huge variety of lvl 4s.
Armor tanked against Sanshas or Bloods Im sure a good pilot could do many lvl 4 missions.
One the other hand shield tanked against Angels you could definetly do some of the easier missions. But it would be exceptionally hard to do Angels Extravaganza or any other big mission.
