Sweet mother of gawd, what on earth have my eyes just witnessed.
I shall give warning to all UK residents and visiting foreigners.
'Do not under any circumstances adjust your television box to recieve this show'
I was channel hoping while cooking my dinner and I stumbled upon the monstrosity that is 'Tim Westwood' and 'Pimp My Ride UK'
I have since purged said television by hurling it through my kitchen window into the garden were i cleansed it's evil via a gasoline aided holy fire. I'am currently keeping a close eye on my other TV to see if it begins exhibiting any Tim Westwood esque symptoms.
You know when something is so truly deeply bad when you watch it you can't help but feel shame for it's existance. Where you feel unclean and full of pity for those who have watched it.
Ladies and gentlemen, Tim Westwood:

It's either a whole act and he just makes himself out to be incredible stupid.

Yes, see the US pimp my ride is funny to watch, mainly because Xzibit is hilarious.
The UK pimp my ride? Well, Westwood is an utter*****fag who makes me feel embarrased just by listening to him. It's just wrong, as wrong as wrong can be.

Ussualy anything that comes from MTV is pure crap.Are they doing the UK one too?
Do people acctualy have to deal with MTV over there?

Yes we do, but believe it or not there are worse channels than MTV. I speak of those channels that are punctuated every few minutes by advertisements of mobile phone sounds. Aimed solely at the UK's stupid. These incalculably offensive sounds are designed solely to violently **** the money from stupid, tasteless people. I wouldn't have a problem with it for that sole reason if normal people didn't have to suffer the aftermath.
By the way the USA's pimp my ride is in comparison: an award winning display of art compared to the dribbling obscenity that Mr 'yo-yo waz up' Westwood delivers.

what I have seen of the original MTV "pimp my ride" was'nt too bad. I actually enjoyed the craftsmanship which was being shown, the creativity, in turning these rotten bangers into moving sculpture. Gaudy, tasteless overblown sulpture, but still some amazing work. Somehow, I have a horrendous image of the UK version being clapped out vauxhall novas driven by illiterate chavs, and presented by that facile eejit, and stripped bare of any redeeming artistry...

Tim Westwood kracks me up, he seems to think that:
a. playing alot of gunshot sound effects on his radio shows
b. speaking a little bit like those rap dudes do
c. the fact that he got shot once
d. use of the word 'baby' at the end of almost every sentence
...somehow allows him to keep pretending that he is some kind of hardcore gangster. Having said all that I dont actually hate him or find him annoying at all, it actually makes for good humor, infact if you think about it Tim Westwood has alot more in common with the character Ali G then he will ever admit to.
I'm not sure if hes still on the radio these days or not but I remember hearing him interview some of the top rap stars on his show and its just hilarious hearing him trying to get into it and speaking like they do, it just does not come over at all. Anyone heard that one liner he came out with for that safe sex promotion thing? "strap it up, before you slap it up" wtflol.

I like the US version. What they do is so vain and over the top it's entertaining. How often do you see a van where the entire back floor is glass over flat screen tvs hooked up to a rising hydraulics system and a fish tank?

Plus there's the fun of seeing each "winner" beat the crap out of Xzibit in their excitement when he shows up at their door.
I'm American, so I don't know who Tim Whatever is, but from the pictures he seems to make Vanilla Ice look really, really, REALLY cool.
If he were a sarcastic character a la Ali G, he'd probably be pretty funny. But he just sounds sad. I wonder what real rappers think of him? Anybody got a link?

Pimp my ride.. no matter if its uk or usa, its nothing but a "put as many lcd screens and speakers onto a wreck as possible", Xzibit is rather entertaining, but the "pimp the ride" part is just

I think for the most part the US version is entertaining. Lots of moronic humor and such.
The stuff they do to cars though is stupid. They put lcd screens in the headrests of a car with two seats and put a bowling ball washer in a van. It's a lot of over the top and superficial crap.
Overhauling is a better show. They actually do useful upgrades to cars. It just doesn't have the same sense of humor.

I went to see eminem a few years ago as a friend had a spare ticket. We had to put up with Tim ******* Westwood for about 3 hours before the support acts came on. He is such an annoying *****, no wonder he gets death threats.

I can't stand this show, The american one isn't all that bad actually, I can appreciate the work on the cars and I don't mind the presenter but Tim westwood's very existance actually angers me to such a degree that I no longer see the cars due to the rage which overtakes me. Every time I accidentally see some of that program I have to go into the shed, take a hammer and break one of my own fingers in the vain hope that such physical pain will block out the mental scarring.

Just ditch tim foolwood and get some dude from top gear..THEN we doi it UK style, forget all the carpy 'ICE' and lets tune that damn engine! induction kits, gearboxs, stainless steele exhausts, performace types with kick ass alloys and a sick bodykit...
and we can call it Chav my ride UK

the only program of that vein that would get my vote would be somthing like.. hmm.. a program presented by Robert Llewellyn, the idea of the program being to take industrial vehicles and convert them for use on the road. I propose my "Purple Half-track Snowplow Bus" as the first vehicle.
