I asked Help chat if there was a way I could focus on ship repair/support on the field in this game and someone mentioned Logistics Specialization. He told me to look up the pre-reqs for a Basilisk and that that would get me started. However, other than that I'm in the dark about the whole thing...can anyone help me out?

Yeah the basilisk is a good shield repairing ship from what I gather. If you go to market and search for basilisk and look under required skills it will set you in the right direction. Logistics is a path few tread but it can be extremely helpful! |

Umm logistic ships are tech 2 cruisers , they support another person by remotely repairing/transfering shield, armor, cap or target painting.
in a dedicated group, you possibly can refit damage modules, instead of your own repair modules because someone else is doing that for you. hence making things go faster more kill power = faster missions, pve, pvp etc.
however you usually need pretty good support skills to make it viable.
i trained gallente logistics when i should have trained for the Amarr one. cuz it does armor AND cap ( oops) gallent does armor and tracking link. ( and most people fit guns, sensor boosters/tracking mods)
examples to get you started. gallente - needs remote armor repair operation, , gallente cruiser 5 , and logistics 3 ( realistically) the support skills would be to increase your cap regen speed.
Caldari * ballisk* caldari cruiser 5, logistics 3( realistically) and shield emmission systems - also skills to increase your cap regen
Amarr - same stuff substitute energy emmission systems.
hope that helps next step ( a ways off) would be to run command ships with warfare links. .. hmm or carriers. :) Team work is essential... It gives the other team something ELSE to shoot at!

its all depends what u want to do. If u want to support in pvp, its not worth it atm they will get called as the primary target in any fleet and last under 20seconds.
in pve they work well as a support unit to another player. my Alt flies the Gall version.
She has lvl5 in all cap related skill maxed out mechanic skills (cept passive) lvl5 remote amour rep lvl4 sensor link.
with these kinds of skills it is possible to run the 4 medium remote reps and 3 T2 tracking links forever with out cap dying. this does use ALL slots so no space for anything else booster wise. (with implants and faction loot u could cut down the needed amount of slots and fit an AB, never done the math so dont quote me) ----------------------------------------------- Want to join a fun corp that do most things in eve Join "suicidal" channel and have a chat |
