I've spent quite some time rummaging through forum posts looking through the various topics, reported bugs and what not. People are guessing at reasons and lengths of time to why petitions have gone unanswered, but I have seen no official posting as to just how long people have to wait for a response from the various petition categories.
How much longer do we have to wait for say...Reimbursements?

There can be no replies to posts. There is a new card game out to help pay for the CCP retirement funds. All efforts will go to the new Card Game, not the game that we are paying monthly memberships for.

I just lost a ridiculously strong ship today due to the server hanging for like 1 min and then refusing to let me log out.
Even if i do get reimbursed its gonna take ... forever.

Edited by: zxlp kngr on 22/08/2006 18:31:51 While CCP may trust their customers, this may not be the case with GM's handling the petitions. They are just fellow players with tedious additional work. Since they've seen it all, they have good reasons to assume you are just there to scam the system. Lacking the benefit of doubt the reimbursements take forever to handle since they have to closely investigate every petition assuming it's someone trying to scam even if you are a new player from a new IP and new paid account with no alts (They assume scammers will play through proxy of course).
Thus at this point the reimbursement queue is by my estimation around 6 months since they get them way more than they can properly investigate.
This is all just speculation and trolling so I hope you'll counter this with facts. |

The current queue is approximately 5,000 petitions strong. We have added some GMs to the team and will be adding more in the near future in an effort to keep the queue at much lower levels.

well I can say it took about a month for a petition to be answered for reimbursment. I had since sold the ship because I gave up on an answer. GM informed me that since I sold the ship there was nothing they could do. I had insurance and it didnt show on my ship. Only lost 1.5-2mill but at the time it was alot to me. Will

What does this mean in days? So, which petitions are you currently working on, 3 days old, a week a month... and how many new ones are coming in each day? _______________________________________

I am amazed some of you have gotten the wonderful Petition response that says they are really backed up and you should close your petition "if it isn't really important". I have one I submitted twice back in June and that is the only response I received. Unfortunately the game has outgrown the staff at CCP and support continues to get slower/worse. This is not promising considering we have a major new release coming up and they can't resolve problems in the current one. CTD's have been problems for months for huge amounts of people with all various types of hardware and not one single suggestion for a fix from CCP other than a nice forum post back in June to confirm they are aware of the issue. Add to that the daily server crashes and things are not looking promising.

Lets just hope they don't cancel/clear out the entire Q like they have done twice in the last two years.

DiseL,
I believe you have smacked the nail squarely on the head right there.
This is generally a lack of confidence. A lack of confidence by the owners that what they have produced is going to be so popular they fail spectacularly at lining up staff reinforcements BEFORE they are needed.
It's just like christmas, when the toy manufacturers have an hit on their hands and they never produce enough of their new gizmo to satisfy demand.
