Welcome
Welcome to my Alliance recruitment thread ! My name is DGSix Kado, AKA Thomas and I have been playing Eve Online for about 4 years now. I have been many places in Eve in the last 4 years making friends and enemies.I am well versed in many different aspects in Eve and I would like to pay it forward to those brave few that choose to follow me into the depths of the unknown.
Two months ago on September 11, 2014 I was diagnosed with NET Cancer. The same Cancer that took the life of Steve Jobs and many other not so famous people. This blew my mind to hear my Doctor tell me that this Cancer will one day take my life. I spent the first month just grieving and trying to come to terms with what will happen to me one day. I could how ever find comfort in the fact that I have a slow moving Cancer and there are some really good options for having a good quality of life for however long it may be.
My life has become a drive to make lasting memories with my extended online family, Wife, children and RL Family. Needless to say with the upcoming nerf to Combat Caps I think this is the dawn of a New Era in Eve Online and I would love to be there ushering in this New Era. A Little About Me
I represent a Community that I helped to found in 2009 that is based on a simple set of rules. Every standing active member had a say in everything we do and help each other to do it. We firmly believe that if every member has a vested interested in things then they will always be there to protect and help protect our combined interests.
I have been many places in Eve and in a number of Alliances. The things that I learned in being in these Major blocks is that people seemed to get passed over for their contributions to the welfare of the Alliance/Coalitions as a whole. I have also see this make them fail, disband, awox and a multitude of other horrible decisions. This is not how I see putting together a successful Alliance/Coalitions or making a lasting impression on the many new friends you may make along the way.
My Current Views On Eve Online
Space is vast and with the incoming changes to force projection it will once again become what it was meant to be. I believe that Eve does not have enough conflict and the unwritten rules about who runs which area of null and collecting ISK for blue standings is absurd. I have been in many Alliances that do not want to foster the growth of its membership because they are the ISK faucet for them.
I have watched vast areas of space bought from hostile entities while the grunts are told to pack up and move without so much as a fight or any isk from these said sales other than it being packed into an SRP fund.
I have been a member of Coalitions who wonGÇÖt allow the use of 64 or 32GÇÖs just because. This means that these ISK mongers now collect the income from the moons and from the space they rent out to other Eve players.
These coalitions contribute to making Null Sec a horrible adventure and next to impossible to even attempt to take space unless you are on the proverbial breast of one of the major coalitions.
My Plan Of Action
First and foremost I will be leaving the drama of blob warfare behind and focusing on growing a successful Alliance within the confines of FW space. This Alliance will be based on the simple rules of having fun and sharing resources. We will focus on making the Alliance enjoyable and easy to interact with other members of a similar play style and mindset. We will share our wealth of knowledge with our Alliance mates to make sure they have a solid foundation to build upon.
