I just had a period where I couldn't access the forums. It came up with a message saying "Forums Temporarily Disabled". The strange thing is, everyone else could. When I remoted into another machine (on a different connection), it worked fine. When I loaded it in ctunnel, it worked fine.
Did I just earn myself a temporary, secret IP ban, or was something strange happening?

Something funny is going on with the forums. Assuming that the numbers in the <title></title> are something to do with which member of the myeve cluster you are being served from they keep changing, where as they were static for a session before.

If it had gone for everyone, I wouldn't have been surprised. It was just that I could access it by masking my IP that made me think.

It happened to me as well, i could access the dev blogs, but the site said the forums were disabled, and i recieved a 500 error when trying to go to the "Players News Center"

HK you were lucky just to access the forums if at all the website itself. I've had to continually pester my ISP to let me through to www.eve-online.com and another europe-based website I frequent.
even a ping or tracert (YAY I LEARNT SOMETHING PCGEEKY XD ) failed to show any results on both websites.
BUT, after some tutoring from my brother, I tried using a proxy server from China of all places (hmmm), and got into www.eve-online.com, clean as a whistle.
strange happenings indeed...
the other website, I later found out, was dead :/
