Professional and respectful. Thank you for the insight and viewpoints. Yes being a good alliance leader is a tough job most of the times since it can be difficult to manage an alliance and ones own corp at the same time.

Couldnt agree more Wimbishi. its tough at the top and often the alliance work can cause you to neglect your own corp. it requires a strong management team in your corp to be able to run an alliance effectively without harming your own corp. it also requires a dedicated alliance management team and without it it fails.
i have enjoyed reading this topic, nice to get to know a little bit about the corp i could always call our friends.

Very insightfull Hugo
Well running a corp is a very hard task regardign the balance between running a good corp and makign ppl have fun VS makign it a fun job for CEO and DIR without makign it a full tiem job , many corps have fallen to this deilema and many ppl just quit coz the balance is not there and they find out that they just log on to do chores in and out m, on the other hand some corp memebrs might see that their DIR and CEO aint pulling their weight due to short hand in several affairs and blame fingers get pointed its kinda of a vicious cycle . I think its related of the lvl of XP between the corp memebrs and their leaders wether they are on the same lvl or not sicne usualy if they are the same they will pretty much understand msot of whats going on and corp runnign will go smoothly and be fun for both parties. Well it was a good read.. Good to see you trying to ride the CWRA flag... lost of stuff missing .. and when WarRages did leave, and you had the ball, you dropped it. No hard feelings, thats why we all left.. but we are still with RA.. true friends these people are, but offen mis understood. some of the best people I have met in the game. and for the CWRA fans out there were not gone.. just fighting under a new corp. the meat if CWRA is still togethere.
Good to see what you do best.. dock and talk..

Excellent read, good lessons to be learned. Sorry to hear CWRA's gone though. Despite the whole turncoat thing
Had fun in DG-, had fun in N-Rael. Good luck in whatever you decide to do next.

When the Members/Directors who make a Corp what it is, have no actual vote in Corp policies, then the Corp is doomed. And that is exactly what happened.

I was going to put something less than polite, but forget it.
But back to more serious point. Poly, I have not forgotten about you, I didn't put you on the list because the "major players" section was made only for the purpose of putting the story on context, when certain events were recalled.
Even so, Polydectes held a group together with a lot of encouragements and optimism. I mean he's one of the few people who play the game as it should be. Same thing with Lawrence, Glaston, DJ Patpong, etc. You guys were the true unsung heroes. ---------------------------- Retiree

Nice post Hugo. You have always had a nice way of putting a story up.
Poly, you old dog you! We have not forgot about you! The days of fleet ops and "name that tune" on TS are legend now...
Much love to Stedanko, Recco, and Joy for constructive posts!
Cotten and Hugo, let it go! It's not worth it...
Removal, you left well before it all went down hill. We had alot of prosperity during the times of the single rule of Warrages. We still love you man :)
Here is some of my additional take on the situation:
Warrages had a way of making you feel like you were involved when in reality he was making all the calls. This is very evident by the "power of veto" he exercised. He flew hard. He flew with a passion that held all of us together. He flew alot.
The glue to the whole corporation was not only strong leadership, but the fact that this leadership was in their pods practically 7x24. Warrages and Hugo worked together towards common goals and both commanded different aspects of the corporation towards these goals.
About the time that CWRA vacated Insmother, RL called warrages away from his pod for and extended period of time and Hugo was also called away for large chunks of time. For shorter periods of time other key people also took extended hiatus. Joy, Malik, Lawrence, the list is long. This left a void inside the corp that could not be overcome. With no continuing leadership, no clear goals, no corp activities, the crumbling began and once started could not be stopped.
Towards the end people brought personal conflicts in and it just went right into the toilet like a Typhoon warping into a fleet bubble camp. It's this last part that has always bothered me. Your a pod pilot and I know little or nothing more about you. Lets leave it at that and go our own way in Eve.
I had great fun flying with CWRA through the good and the bad. I will always have great respect for the majority of pod pilots in CWRA that I flew with. For the rest of you (and you know who you are), we shall agree to disagree and fly our own seperate paths in Eve.

Good old CWRA....
ive alot to thank the different parts of this corp for....Warrages corp (before the merger) for getting me down into 0.0...teaching me the ways in the FSA days.
Granted my arrogant style and attitude at times rubbed ppl up the wrong way but warrages himself encouraged it if i thought i was right.
Because of this attitude i very oftne found myself in kind of sgt major role in FSA...not high enough to make policy but with enough authority to do what needed to be donw at the time.
The confidence to make them kind of decisions came from the encouragment warrages and the rest of the corp gave me. Thanks guys :D
Flying the first CWRA op around scalding pass... many happy weeks followed until the invitation from 42 came in after flying with them around cache under soraya.
A few months later i found myself on the other side...fighting against CWRA.....shooting to kill the friends who had helped me get started in 0.0. It wasnt all that easy, fighting and chatting to the targets at the same time can get confusing.
And later, trying to oust CWRA from c-j......all through it i knew there would be no easy way to remove you guys from that system, after all id been on the inside, flown with you guys for months and knew your stubborness to fail at anything.
Much respect to all of CWRA that i know and flew with.
I hope to see you in the south soon :D
