Edited by: Supersonix on 18/10/2003 00:20:56 It was a while now, I haven't heard anything about a dev chat for a long time. Have I missed them or have they stopped doing them?
Or do they consider the CSM meetings as all the player feedback they need? I don't think so by a longshot. So many great ideas in the Idea Lab forums but no action/feedback from devs/admins.
Anyway, I think that CCP should have a better contact with the players and let us know whats up.
Do they just go to work, play soccer (look at the CCP "tour" by IGN, you can download the video at Downloads) and chill? The updating with patches and news have been quite dead. The only people you see doing something for the game seemes to be volonteers. Only Polaris (volonteer people, and probably some GMs) who help out. And when I tested the test server Chaos (quite complicated with missing files, 404 errors and lack of info), what do I see? A BH, bughunter. Someone who gives out stuff and acts like and admin of some kind, on Chaos. Well anyway, this isn't a CCP employee either, this is of course a volonteer. And sometimes there isn't even a BH on the server who can help you out.
And now they have gotten these interstellar journalists. Do they get paid?
Whats is CCP doing with our money now? We want to interact with the storyline MORE and we want a more progressing storyline where we are a part of it. Not just some news that some bigshot was shot down at some big meeting about non-existing amarr-minmatar racism. I don't really think that those shootouts even really occured.
We want to see Stavros & CO. We want to see Fountain Alliance, Stain, Venal, FD-MLJ in the news. Sure there is a problem with people being impartial, but write about what you get to know and make interviews with key persons. Don't you think? We make the game, we should be in the spotlight.
I would really like to work for CCP because I think that this game has a lot of potential. So if a dev sees this, msg me ;) But as it seemes now CCP just don't focus on the right things. They don't seem to have the right connection/feedback with the players to know what we want and what we prioratize. Some problems/things that need to be done, that the players bring up on the CSM meetings is for me obvious. CCP don't seem to play their own game, otherwise they would have seen all these problems. I think they just should hold up with the storyline and catch up with the bug fixing. And get to know what the players really want. Polls would be a really fast and simple thing for that.
I think I have done a long and boring text enogh today and please excuse me for my somethimes bad english. GOOOOO CCP! :)

Edited by: Cptn Stardust on 18/10/2003 04:49:22 Edited by: Cptn Stardust on 18/10/2003 04:49:01 it really has been a long time since we heard from Pann, the announcements forum seems dead.
May i be bold and suggest a 'sticky' in the announcements forum pointing people to the Dev Blog on this web-site.
So much useful information appears there, but i still get the impression that a lot of people don't read it or know it exists.
Cheers

Notice that the "updates" section hasn't been updated since the first content. Implants are still "in testing" and so on.
And no gameplay fixes/enhancements at all in the last 4 weeks. Exept the BP gifts of agents, that is.
- no BS NPC rats - agility modules still broken - mobile refinery progress at a standstill

From the interview with homelan it seems that ccp is hard at work creating the tech 2 content.
I would think they need to work on gamemechanics first though but it seems that pretty much everything has come to a halt...they are working on something but i dont know what :/
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Yes but I don't think that it would be so difficult just to post something short every day on what's happening and how the progress is going. Is that too much to ask for?
