Redemption Road is a community-service corporation with a focus on organizing and running public roams, new player roams, and other civic events. We are the founders of the Redemption Roams NPSI community and Affirmative. alliance. Currently, we run and support the following NPSI public roams: Sunday Sinners: Every Sunday at 19:00 MATE Roams: Every Friday at 09:00 NewBro New Player Roam: 15th of the month, rotating time zones Assorted random holiday roams, seminars, and other crazy ideas. We are also obsessed with tournaments. We manage "The Freeloaders" New Eden Open team and fielded a team in ATXII peopled by the Redemption Roams community members. We plan on competing in the next New Eden Open and ATXIII, and SCL (if it returns). Outside of our public roams and tournaments, we're a solo and small-gang PVP corporation currently living in Derelik lowsec, roaming both low and nullsec. While we are not a "training" corp, we are very new/newer-player friendly and will bend over backwards to help you learn. For new players, we prefer you be out of trial, have done the career agents and Sisters of Eve arc, have the ability to figure things out, and are looking to be involved with PVP. We have a tight-knit, very casual and laid back (perhaps too laid back!), social, mature (no sperging or p0rn), RL > Eve environment with a "Go for it!" culture. Currently, we are most active in the late US/NA through Aussie/NZ time zones (approx. 02:00 through downtime) during the week, and all time zones during the weekend. We are weakest in Euro time zone activity at the moment, so Euro time zone players be aware we don't have much activity during the week right now, but as we recruit more Euro players that will improve. We generally fly cruisers and below, but that's primarily because we rather lose 100 cheap ships taking on most any fight we can find "win or lose," then only fight the fights we can win. We've been known to drop the occasional dread for giggles! We don't have "strict" doctrines, preferring to keep things flexible and open for those who step up to lead gangs and let people experiment with different fittings and gang types. What We Offer: Access to jumpclones Teamspeak server Forums Killboard (but don't give a ** about killboard stats) http://www.affirmative-alliance.com/killboard/ Fleet-Up groups "Laughter at disaster" attitude No blues or reds; we operate under NPSI even when we're not running public roams. Well, we blue our cyno alts and our Faction Warfare alt corp (which actually isn't in facwar right now, long story), but other than that no blues. "It's about the people, not the skillpoints" attitude. Personality is more important than anything else. 1% tax rate Movie nights. Open fleets - pretty much everything we do is open to all. Heck, we operate most of our internal gangs in our public channel! "Assume the answer is YES" attitude - got a crazy idea? Go for it! No permission needed to run gangs, FC anything, organize an event or run a seminar. Opportunity to be as involved - or not - as you want to be in the running of internal or public roams. Genuine appreciation for all you bring to the game. No guilt trips when you prefer to carebear instead of joining the gang. Freedom to fly with whoever you want to fly with, it's perfectly okay to go hang with old friends, fly in Ganked, or do something else with others, just so long as you hang out and fly with us regularly, too! Limited transport services (moving your stuff from highsec to our lowsec base). Laid-back management, transparency in decision-making and finances, with major decisions made by consensus (unless urgent). Very cool tickers: (RILED) [YES] Giggles, lots of giggles. What we are looking for:** Working microphone. Patience and Sense of Humor trained to 5 required :) People who don't take the game too seriously, but are able to act professionally when in fleet. Have a love of learning and sharing what they know. Ability to operate independently and entertain yourself when nothing else is going on, or not many people online. Social. We are very social. We don't ask for full API, but a partial API will be required to get authorized on our forums and Teamspeak once you join (public information & character sheet). Willingness to check our internal forums a few times a week to catch up on what's happening. Don't need to be a forum ***, but if you never read it, you'll miss out on something eventually! Prefer 21+ RL years old, but mature younglings are acceptable. Dog and cat lovers particularly welcome. No minimum skill points, but do prefer you have at least one frigate to 5, at least one destroyer and/or cruiser to 5, assault frigates, interceptors, small T2 guns, and have flown on at least one of our roams. Who we are NOT a good home for: Misogonists, dramaqueens, sperglords, overbearing arrogant twats, elitists, ragers, or risk adverse pilots. Players focused ONLY on industry or PVE. Special Snowflakes. We already have one. How to Apply:** Hop into our Teamspeak server (ts.affirmativealliance.com password YES!) and chat with us, hang out with us, and get to know us. Come fly with us on our public roams, or just hop into TS and ask if there are any gangs running you can join - you don't need to be one of us to fly with us! We'll know pretty quickly - sometimes hours, sometimes days - if we are the right home for you, and you are a good fit with the rest of the critters in our little zoo. So many roaming gangs, people building "fortresses" and "homesteads" and actually paying attention to intel and forming up response gangs... it's fantastic to be alive in Eve today! We weren't out to hunt or kill anyone today, our goal was to stay alive as long as possible so we could get as many systems bookmarked as we could. We traveled down to the south eastern corner of Catch, and had some fun freaking ratters out "oh no local spike local spike!" Anyways, we noticed a pod on a gate hopping into the next system. We didn't bother trying to catch him, because well, we were focused on our task at hand. We hop into the next system, and there's that same pod just about to exit the system. We make our bookmarks on the gates, then go into the next system, and what do you know, there is that same pod in local... no station .... (Did I happen to mention we have a "Bookmarking The Universe" project in our alliance, with the goal of having a tactical bookmark on every nullsec gate? Did I also happen to mention I have the most busted bookmarks in Curse?) We go ahead and make our bookmarks and as we land on the gate to the next system, Rogue notices the pod is 12 off the gate. "I think he's autopiloting." Autopiloting a pod in nullsec. In Catch, no less, which is likely the hottest region in the universe for roaming gangs and solo hunters right now. "Are you serious? No way!" "Yup, I'm positive, he's autopiloting." "Well, for that he deserves to explode! Go ahead and kill him!" "He's already dead. Didn't even need to sebo him " And explode he did :) Of course, it was a naked clone... but seriously, autopiloting a pod in nullsec... I gotta admit, I've never seen that happen before in the over five years I've been playing Eve! We've adopted a dozen newbros into our little group, some of which have actually joined us, others just hanging out with us and learning the game. It's been a lot of fun and a lot of work, but totally worth it! We've had some fun defending a POCO, lots of good old-fashioned in-your-face brawling furrballs of fights on our public roams, we've been doing more random spur-of-the-moment gangs during the week, and had the BEST movie night ever this week! Our next NewBro New Player Roam is this Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at 20:00 out of Berta. Always fun to show new players their first "real" fleet fight, such a giggle to hear them talk about their hands shaking!! :) And although we have slowed down recruitment a bit this past two weeks while we get to know all the new members we've added recently, we're still recruiting! We're also taking a brief break from our public roams through most of August, so we have extra time to practice and can focus on our matches and watching the tournament.
