Just wanted to let you know--
I quit EVE abruptly about a month ago due to the horrific amount of bugs, and specifically because of a great deal of time and effort my corpmates and I lost to sudden glitches that hit us all at once.
Well, today I came back to see how things were progressing, and my first three hours involved nothing but struggling with a stuck character. So I opened a petition, assumed I would be out of commission for the rest of the day, and considered cancelling my subscription again.
But lo and behold! I don't think it took more than three minutes for Polaris rep Libertina to scoop me up and drop me in a station again, all happy and warm and comfy. Three minutes!
I'm not sure it anyone cares, but I think it's important to balance out all of the customer service horror stories we hear with the good things that actually happen. The length of time this problem was solved in was the difference between me keeping my account open and just cancelling again.
Thanks again to Libertina-- I'll still be the scourge of giant floating rocks everywhere in the EVE universe.

CCP's customer support is pretty inconsistent, sometimes its great, sometimes it grates.
Anything that requires a couple of mouse clicks they're usually pretty good at. However, anything that requires any initiative, investigation or more than ten minutes attention usually results in a pre-formatted 'thank/**** you' message.

Yes your right I got stuck yesterday and it only took 90 minutes to free me, another corp mate was even luckier he had the pleasure of being stuck for 180 minutes. The response time of late has gotten so much better it defies belief. I mean I remember when I got stuck 4 hours before down time once so they just ignored my stuck petition as it would have taken them longer to free me.
Another customer service triumph

Well, my point is that while I don't think CCP's service is stellar, I don't think it's the sack o' crap everyone seems to portray it as.
I've been playing since the day of release, I've had some problems--please note I quit initially because of bugs--but what could be handled I believe has, and in a relatively efficient manner.
EVE still has a great deal of problems, but I simply don't think customer service is the problem that bugs, lack of content, etc., are. And when things are done RIGHT, we should point these out as well.

stuck petitions always get answered pretty quickly ,try an exploit one and see how many days it takes before you get an answer and then how long it takes them to confirm your story and give you back your stuff

Your right I'd describe it as more a big steaming pile of crap rather than a sack o' crap
Sorry I'm just feeling in a silly mood atm I think it's the sleep deprivation kicking in

You B@stards!
I come back from a month away and have a good experience and you just want to drag me down with the rest of you.
Snoop-- what makes you think I haven't had problems before? As far as exploit petitions... Do they take longer-- you betcha'. Are they more complicated? Sure.
What I'm saying is there's this prevailing opinion that CCP customer service does nothing but drink beer and smoke joints in the office. For the most part-- I've had fair to good service on all of my petitions, and I'll bet--going out on a limb here--that so has the majority of the customer base.
Not fantastic. Not incredible. Not 'oh my god I've got to join EVE for the customer service' service. But certainly up to standards for MMORPG's.
Good grief... my UO experiences make the EVE staff look like customer service gods.....

LMAO. I think what the player community is trying to do is set your standards as low as the rest of us who seem to be able to stick with the game because of our standards. Is it working?
