On one fine evening I was participating in a mining operation with my corpmates where I drifted off into thoughts of my freedom as a minmatar. Here I am feverously attacking some roids to haul some ore back to my corp home so we have minerals to build what we can or sell for some isk.
Suddenly a great feeling of grief overwhelmed my whole soul. The gadgets on my ship even sputtered on and off feeling the same grief that I had. As I sat in space with a corpmate to protect me from angels and another to haul the ore I could feel the pain of my brothers and sisters who are stuck in slavery. I was almost to the point of sobs.
This has made me realize that we as minmatar people must act for our fellows in slavery. we must fight all who hold them and bring our people to the freedom we have.

Do you suggest the Minmatar Republic, not even a recognised state actually, bandit coalition is more fitting, should declare war on the Empire of Amarr?
If so you are very misguided. War is not the solution, trust me.
Or don't.... ----------------------------------------------

Who doesn't recognize the Minmatar Republic. Hell, I can open my map right now and there it is. The Minmatar Republic. Plain as day. You can't miss it.
Assuming, of course, your map dates from later than 23216. If it doesn't, I'll send you a copy of mine, free of charge.

The Amarr speaks of peace yet won't recoginize us in the same statement. Peace will not come to us unless freedom becomes our own. Until the Amarr sees the minmatar people as people war is our only choice. Peace you speak to us who are free but lashes you give to our brothers and sisters under your rule. We shall free these brothers and sisters making the Amarr seem powerful. We shall rid the universe of the enslavement of any people and destroy all those who oppose us.

So you do want a war. I advised against it, but my words of moderation and peace fell on deaf ears.
We stand firm, chosen by God to serve and protect the interests of His divine Empire. As His Chosen ones, we are the first line of defence.
Dare you cross that line? Or is this yet another Minmatar call for others to act?
Oh and I almost forgot....
The Empire of Amarr does not recognise the Minmatar Republic as a sovereign state, and as such this 'state' does not exist in the eyes of Amarr. What words on a map say means nothing.
The decision of the Emperor means all. ----------------------------------------------

If ever it comes, I shall rue the day my mind is made up by someone else.
One's own thoughts are the greatest freedom. The one thing my former "masters" could not take from me.
Here, we see the Amarr putting so much faith in the words of another, that they do not even attempt to form their own opinion.
"The decision of the Emperor means all."
Who are the slaves, here?
I pity the Amarr.

Faith is a gift, Makkar. It is a virtue and a blessing. It is the pillar upon which our Divine Empire is based.
Loyalty. Devotion. Faith. Virtues of the righteous, the anointed children of God.
I would lay my life down without a moment of hesitation in defence of the Empire, so would my brethren in PIE. For this you denounce our ability to think freely?
No Makkar. You should look to your own, for it is not PIE who are lost among the faithless and the tyranny of evil men, far out in the lawless constellations of Curse. It is Oracle. So far from the path you once walked with pride and integrity.
I do not expect an ordinary Minmatar to understand what complete devotion means, but mayhaps you of Oracle should? Or is that gone as well? ----------------------------------------------

All hail, Gaius Kador, emperor-pro-tem for the Amarr Empire, for his word speaks for all Amarr. As a pious member of God's chosen, please show me where any Amarr ever stated The Minmatar Republic is unrecognized, as you are merely a servant of God, and don't have the authority to make such policy yourself.. http://freelancing.eveguardian.net

Edited by: Sydney Janus on 20/10/2003 18:41:19 Edited by: Sydney Janus on 13/10/2003 15:14:35 I present an Aside:
Members of PIE, be careful in your zeal for God and Country that you don't inadvertantly claim or assume things not actually stated in the story. As far as I am aware, it has never been stated that the Amarr empire does not recognize the Minmatar Republic, claiming this is so is verging on Prime Fiction, I think. It goes for everyone, I'm not trying to single out PIE.
Giaus, I'll check it out and remove my posts here if I'm wrong, and edited them to more IC if I'm right.
Well, after searching through all the news items, the only thing that Doriam has stated that other Heirs would not consider is "Reparations" to the Minmatar Republic. http://freelancing.eveguardian.net

Edited by: Gaius Kador on 13/10/2003 15:00:28 It is not my duty to spoon feed you the political realities of today, is it?
Rest assured I am right in my statements. If you choose not to, I am afraid you will have to spend some effort at obtaining this particular knowledge, instead of having it served.
So lazy.
OOC:
Very well, you kind of aced this comment. Read up on the Heirs, you will note that only Doriam Kor-Azor has even hinted at discussing a possible solution to the Minmatar problem, by recognising it as a sovereign state.

Gaius, I have chosen my path, and I walk it with pride. I will fight and die beside my Oracle brothers as readily as you will for your empire. If that is what you consider honour to be, then any in Oracle should be honourable in your eyes, for all have chosen the path, and we walk it together.
However the difference between you and I, Gaius, is that I am free to choose another path if I so wish. Although I follow the guidance of Voushod Sarkos, guidance is what it is. He does not demand absolute obedience without question. If he did, I likely would not grant it.
I have my own agenda. Oracle pursues a common agenda. I walk with Oracle. If their methods no longer meet with my approval, I will walk alone again, but I will carry on walking my path, that I choose.
There is my freedom. There is my honour.

Minmatar is a state, regardless of what amarrians thinks!
For too long they Amarrians oppressed our kin even themselves are savages who live in falsehood of religion.
If you amarrians haven't learned from history, here is a lesson for you: Every empire has fallen and so shall fall amarrian empire.
The twilight of Amarrian has begun. To all minmatar: Take up arms and resist your oppressor.

Zibun.
You cannot even handle the Ammatar and Caldari advances towards your territory. What makes you think you can stand against the epitome of military power which is the Empire of Amarr?
Lay down your arms now, embrace peace, or the armageddon will be terrible to behold as it is unleashed upon you. ----------------------------------------------

The only peace that the Minmatar rabble, you call a republic will know is when you surrender to the inevitable. You were born as servants and shall die as so, one way or another. You only bring undue suffering to your people trying to change that.

I travelled through the Minmatar Republic a couple of weeks ago. Nice place. Nifty looking jumpgates. Sure seemed like a functional republic to me, no matter what the Amarr say.

The Minmatar Empire is only as strong as the voices of it's people.
It is only as concrete as their purpose and vision.
As you can see, our voices are steel. Our purpose the earth upon which we stand, and our vision the ship that takes us beyond the stars.
It is the sweat of my people that fortifies your empire. It is our passion that lies beneath your assumed rightousness. The foundation of all you have claimed is Minmatar. The heart of the Amaar empire beats not with the blood of your kin. It beats with the passion and soul of the Minmatar people.
You live in a jesters cap of deception, resting precariously upon the solid stone of the true Minmatar Empire.
We have not one nation, but two.
One bathed in light.
The other shadowed by the fears of chilren who never learned to live on their own.

Yes. Providing certain 'conditions' were met.

Of course. Re-animation of dead flesh through extensive use of cybernetics is difficult, but I'm sure we can accomodate our slave population.

I would prefer neither. The Reclaiming is all that matters.

Peace is not possible before Amarrians stop their barbaric habit of enslaving people. Even they might have superior military strenght we will burn them slowly, like the fire eats the log.
The Amarrians are slaves of emperor, for that, they want to keep slaves themselves so they could feel a little better of themselves.
Amarrian empire is now crumbling inside for such barbarism cannot hold up the empire.
All Amarrians who keeps up slavery, you are stain in humanoid history and will be clensed.
For all enslaving Amarrians: Your slaves shall never stop fighting against you so why not to set them free? It would be easier to you just accept that you are the only freewilling slaves of the universe.
