My main is gallente and so is this char, only prob is my main is heavily into drones/missions and i really dont want a carbon copy char. I want this char to be more into pvp/ratting.
I like the idea of a missile based boat what race of ships should I train?
Prob an easy question but i know only gallente atm.

Hmm in pvp missiles aren't very efective.. atleast in fleet ops. Since the missiles take a while to get to the target.
Drones aswell but with EW drones or Shield/armor rep drones you can be very usefull.
For solo pvp i don't know really but if your going for fleet pvp i suggest the caldari rail boats.. since you probably already have hybrids trained.
But i'm a pvp noob so don't listen to me >_>

there is only one missile race = caldari
for pvp the geddon is a superb ship, and has the highest dps in the game (iirc)

Default answer for missiles and PVPing = Raven 
Active shield tank and some jammers and you'll fit right in with the rest of them.

armor tanks are pretty effective against lasers though, 2x EANM IIs/DCU tank kills a lot of laser damage

Kestrel -> Caracal -> Raven
Caracal is what you will used the most as it is cheap, deals good damge and has plenty of mid slots to fit tank for short range or sensors/painters/ecm for long range.
Raven is the only *pure* missile battleship in the game and is great in gangs but (as has already been mentioned), because cruise/torps take time to reach their target it is not so useful in fleet battles where the distance between you and your opponent is typically that they can warp away before your missiles even reach them.
If you want to train to primarily use missiles then fly caldari but unless you only ever plan to fight solo or in small gangs, to maintain versatility in fleet combat, I would suggest you also train gunnery for rails.

Caldari ships are the missile race and they are also the best at shield tanking, so there is really no other choice than caldari.
As for pvp, well, caracal is popular if you want a cruiser, ferox if you want a battlecruiser and raven if you want a battleship. Crow is a good elite frigate.

Anyways, in answer to the OP Caldari is the way to go. Use either a Raven or Cerberus (or Caracal or Ferox or Kestrel)

It used too before stacking changes (But only just) the Blastathron is currently the highest Dps battleship.
But obviously the Geddon can deliver its dps at full with an optimal of around 20km on a Gank setup.
The raven is a great PvP ship for small gangs, just dont even bother in a fleet.

if you stick a couple of tracking enhancers on it can, otherwise it has an optimal of 15k
which is still nice for combat around gates, jump through range, non-insta warp range etc

Dude u already have a good pvp race trained, gallante pwn solo/small gang and have the mega for fleet.
the 1-3 you named only leads to one race, caldari, and being caldari myself they only really shine in small gangs where the wait for missiles is enough and other people to tackle for you while you pound.
But if you want another race, id suggest minnies because some ships use missiles, some ships you also shield tank.. Sorted

Gank brutix with x6 T2 Neutrons and T2 medium drones, how can you hate it 
Edit: Im testing a blaster Enyo atm, with decent gunnery, cap and Navigation skills for running the mwd 23/7, the tracking bonus and optimal range bonus i think will make it evil with blasters in pvp.
