Server down til 12:30 gmt...its now 13:00 gmt with no word from anyone.
All last night through the patch deployment they were a good hour behind the GMT time...so, I dont mind the downtime at all - its for the bext if we can still play the game after downtime afterall - but, does CCP have any concept of what GMT is?

GMT is 0, amsterdam = in summertime GMT +2, it is now 1400 in amsterdam, or 12:00 GMT..
GMT is a fixed time, no summer or wintertime changes. Also referred to UTC or Zulu time.

Actually, you've got it wrong.
Your post is stated at 12:04 GMT. You've actually stated the time in BST, which is an hour ahead.
If you live in the UK, you have to get your head around the fact that for 6 months of the year, EVE time is correct for us and for the other 6, we're an hour ahead.

Erm, no, it's you that doesn't understand GMT. I assume you're based in the UK and assuming GMT = UK time. It doesn't. Currently the UK is on BST. It is currently 1310 BST, 1210 GMT.

I'm a noob, and even I think this is a pretty weak effort.
Surely Red is aware that different parts of the world are in idfferent time zones, and if he lives in an area with DST then surely he's aware of that?

Trust me it caused everyone here bashing the guy confusion the first time they ran into it, I'm sure. They are just forgetting when THEY didn't know ;)
Then again the OP kinda brought it on himself by assuming CCP didn't know what they were doing rather than just asking why the times were wonky like most normal folks would have ;)
