Yeah, I can see why they ended up scrapping it =P
And about Donnie Darko, it's one of those movies you have to watch a few times before you really get what's going on. Best movie I've seen in a long time though, and definatly best to watch in a dark room with surround sound =)

Yeah that film rocks.
'why'd you wear that stupid bunnie suit?'
'why do you wear that stupid man suit'
thats one of the best lines, so cool, frikin creepy aswell, coupled with
'now you know where he lives... burn it to the ground'
hehe, watched that film like 15 times, still cool. some damn good music and the ending is very well done.

It either rocks
Or
It's a nice little story padded with a load of pointless American teenage angst and drivel.
P.S. I hold one of the above views

Very very good film. I can't remember a film that made me so .... "thoughtful".
If you wanna see another good film watch "Spider" with Ralph Feins [spelling].
Performance to rival Schindlers List.

I'd hate it.
I hate those contrived teenage angst movies.
Give me "Kill Bill" anyday.

Admittedly I watched it when I was very, very stoned but I have to admit...
...I thought it was a piece of crap. Seriously. Had a few good moments and some great ideas but it was really just an extended music video hiding behind a hopelessly misconceived story which attempted to hide its inadequacies by just being weird.
Guaranteed to appeal to the more pretentious of the style-over-substance generation and that's about it.

Edited by: Lliad on 13/10/2003 23:12:36 If you watch the dvd and then bother to sit through the directory commenty you can pick so many holes in his perception of the plot. From what i can tell, ppl that like the film do not like it the way in which he intended, most ppls interpretation of the plot if wildly different from what he intended.
His plot is just so stupid its unbelievable, and kill bill ******* rocks.

What did you think the basic plot was Sabahl?

Yeah I don't think he had much of an idea what was going on as he was directing it, but the plot is so open to interpretation that it really doesn't matter what he intended, it's more fun to interpret your own plot as the movie goes along.
