hello fellow eve players. I'm new to the game, not new to mmo's. I've played ultima online, asheron's call 2, lineage, shadowbane, star wars, and city of villians.
i'm an older player with time to kill at night and on weekends,usually around 30 hours a week or so when work isn't sucking me dry for everything i'm worth
i'm hoping to find a well organized guild that uses tactics and planning, preferably something with a military setting. I don't really get into roleplaying or anything, but not opposed to it. i usually find a solid group and stick with them until things fall apart. these games are alot more fun when a sense of commradie can be developed.
i want to shop around and talk to few groups first and make sure i find the right group.
only have a few skills at the moment, but I learn quick and not afraid to die.
if i'm the type of player you think might fit it, let me know and we can talk

holy crap these threads get bumped down fast. I don't think I have ever seen such an active recruiting forum. something tells me I'll be better of looking into them myself rather than waiting to be picked up.

If you feel like helping to build up a small guild, check out the Flock of Cats. We're mostly into mining and manufacturing, and we have members from all timezones. Lots of us are ex-WoW players, too. Not too fancy, but have a look at our website.

thank you all for the posts. going to keep researching each group till I find the right mix. a couple of mates have been spot on thoughI wonder if the scope is in accordance with my own playstle. great community so far, I see why nearly 20k players live, work and play hard here. cheers to CCP, mates, cheers cheers

we are predominately a mixture of Minmatar and Caldari with a fair sprinkling of Gallente.
We are based in in Heimatar (Safe space, Minmatar space) and Molden Heath (Low-security).
We do mining, missions and help each other out.
The Corps name is:- Ceryshen Interglobal Technologies [CERY]
We are anti-pirate and are looking to expand our numbers. The two offices we have in Hi-Security Space are :-

Hi Travis Steeman
My name is Gendril and has been a member of Purify since the very beginning.
I must say I hope you as member will feel as welcome now, as I felt when I first joined 8 months ago as a new pilot, fresh from the School of Applied Knowledge on the Isanamo station and rest assured I will do my best to make you feel welcome if you decide to join us.
Well I have come long way since my fist days in space and the long trip though the galaxy to join Purify in what was their base at the time in the solar system Stegette . But still the time we spent down there gave me my first taste of hard won isk from trading/mining and also the first of many run-ins with the rogue pirates that were (and I believe still is) plaguing that region. Still it was only the help from the then small corp. that stopped me from going bankrupt and ruining my career.
So now I offer you, the chance to join a corp. of likeminded pilots, that value friendship and are hard working towards a safer EVE by hunting down pirates in whatever form we may find them.
I really hope to hear from you Travis as you seem like the kind of pilot we would love hear from especialy since your style of play seems to be close to ours.
