Tech 1 ships have more or less pretty basic coloration; tech II's are distinguished in terms of color. For amarr this being black or red/gold, green or red with dark grey for gallente, etc. (you get the picture).
Tech 3 cruisers on the other hand have basic t1 coloring. Given the recent dev blog about space objects factory....can t3s have a coloration that is distinct from both tech 1 and tech 2? |

Space object factory doesn't effect t3's dude.

I thought it was for all ships? Anyways, the suggestion doesn't have to be based on the SOF. |

I would love to have subsystems which effected the overall look, maybe have the basic coloring effected primarily by defensive subsystem, and then the trim color determined by offensive?
Yes, I do incursions. Find out more here

yeah they were made exception for as there is no one hull to render, personally im rather fond of the colouring of my legions , though its about time they did something more with the lighting because it looks copper plated rather than gold, this makes me sad.

Considering one of the main points of the SOF is to allow for players to create custom paint jobs... why? |

Since t3s are made from sleeper components and salvage, it would make sense for them to look different than their empire-manufactured counterparts. I can totally get behind this.
-The Legion could have the golden hue of the 'imperial issue' ships except with a black trim.
-The Loki could be red like the Krusnal edition ships.
-The Tengu could go straight black with white lighting, sort of like the suukavesta edition heron.
-The Proteus could have its grey replaced with the original shiny silver of the v2 gallente shaders; except have it look more like glossy chrome. Tinted windows and bass speakers would not be an option though... |

No subwoofer? =P Yer....I like the coloring options you've mentioned, they seem to work well already on the ships they currently apply to. |

I want to see all tech 3 ships given a black base color with brilliantly colored highlights in similar patterns regardless of race.
Fit a warfare link to your tech 1 battlecruiser. Train Wing Commander. Get in the Squad Commander or Wing Commander position. Your fleets will be superior to everyone else's. (had this sig BEFORE Odyssey BC rebalance)

Given that they're based on sleepers.....it would totally make sense that t3 ships should be colored similarly to sleeper drones :D In terms of coloration that makes sense to the lore etc....I think this idea is the one that makes the most sense (and would also probably look the best) :) |

There are only 1024 different combinations per T3
Edit: On topic i would love to be able to change the color scheme of my Proteus.

Mein Gott that Legion is gorgeous! It looks like a Vagabond wasn't satisfied with its frill, went apeshit, and transformed into Mecha-Twisted Vagabond, and now it terrorizes the gaps between realspace with its frightening mane and a terrible roar that carries through space itself...

T2 ships carry the colors of the corporations that designed them. T1 and t3 ships were not designed by one company in the case of t3 they were developed by a large groups of corperations within each faction that is why they hold the factions colors not a corps |
