Your ship warps out and leaves the game. Women who behave rarely make history.

That's if you haven't been engaged in combat; if you log out during a fight, your ship remains in space for 15 minutes, where it then disappears.
If you log on one of your alts, on the same account as the main, your main's ship disappears however.

Wasn't that particular exploit fixed almost a year ago?
And to clarify, if you loose connection or log off in space, you will always warp off in a random direction, for 1M km (unless you are warp scrambled that is). At this point, two possibilities exist. If you had not been involved in player combat for the last 15 minutes, you will disappear from the game world after 1 minute. However, if you were involved in player combat in the last 15 minutes, you will sit in space until that 15 minutes is up.
There is a graphical timer on your UI that shows the countdown, however, it isn't always reliable and I don't think it shows in 0.0 space (unless this has been recently fixed)

or unless you are blocked by a roid, station, structure, containers, ships, and/or players.
I believe that your mods shut down after a fixed amount of time before disappearing, so you become a sitting duck. Need to verify.

I was doing my first ever level 3 mission in a Brutix - I'd just started when my PC crashed.
When I came back, I was a pod. That was the first time I hadn't automatically warped away - the ship just stayed there and got killed.

I believe that any drones you have deployed when you log off/get disconnected are left behind at your original location when your ship warps in a random direction. Anyone passing by can scoop these drones up unless you log back on to get them yourself.

That's because your ship was probably destroyed in the time it took you to align and accelerate to warp out speed.
The larger the ship, the less agile it is and the more likely you're going to run into this problem.

Nope, Tharsis has been running into people using this lately, namely an Armageddon a team of ours engaged in lowsec .
If you want complete verification, I could run a lil test tonight with them and maybe get some pics.

Its possible that somne of the frigs in the mission had you warp scrambled. Yes, they do that.
