Does any body use satellite for their ISP?
With fraction of a second delay in upload and download, I am wanting to know how this effects your game, especially in PVP.
Would you recommend it?
I am so sick of having to pay the high cost of cable, just so I can get good internet, and the jackholes will not do internet without getting cable tv as well. The lowest plan, $75, still paying $120+ after taxes and fees.
Suddenlink is a rip off.

If you mean satellite based internet.
I know someone who not only uses it, but PvPs and even leads fleets and now hosts her own public roam community.
You do have to worry though with extreme weather if that hits you.

Yeah.. Eve doesn't need quick reactions, just fast thinking, so lag doesn't matter much (unless you get a ton). (although there are exceptions like catching pods and other fast ships on gatecamps without bubbles, or cloaky ships on gatecamps with bubbles) |

EVE server runs on 1s ticks so as long as your connection is otherwise stable you should have no issues such as warping or other anomalies unlike with more traditional MMO's, FPS or other multi-player games. |

To give you an idea. I've played EVE without a problem over a 3G connection and over cellular internet while I was in the States. It worked even when my ping on TS3 spiked well over 4000ms, EVE ran smooth as a baby's bottom.

As someone who has had to endure crippling lag spikes recently (congestion), oh god, no, eve doesn't run smooth with 4k pings.
We're talking seconds to bring up a right click menu or 20 seconds to undock. Jumped a 2-sebo carrier in with 10 dreads against 2 dreads while lagging once, missed out on one of them.
