Pre RMR they were located in that 3/10 complex, but CCP moved them.
Where are they now?

My friend was NPC'ing in fade, he killed a shadow serpentis at a belt and it dropped one.

The moved them to 4/10's and higher. You can also get them from Serpentis faction drops especially in Fountain.

hmmm. I tried a 4/10 today and I guess I was unlucky because the BS at the end didn't drop anything. :( Ill keep trying. ;o
BTW: how often does the key and BS respawn?

They are still in the 3/10's post-RMR, but unlike pre-RMR, the bpc's won't spawn on the overseers in any other stage but the last stage, and the chances of getting the BPC is slim.

3 in last 24 hours (2 for me one for corp mate)
2 in sydnciate one in placid (all off shadow sep cruisers) all at belts. This is where u iwll find em and 4/10 serpentis deadspace on a 1 in 3 basis (not every single time now)

Ive run the serp 4/10 3 times already and every single time ive only gotten an overseer effect. :S Is this common in all the plexes? Or maybe im not looking for the goods in the right place, they are found in the BSs can at the end, right?

Please read the above "random" means u could run it 10 times and get nothing then get it 10 times straight
The average is 1 in 3
Anyway hope it helps so every time u do it there is a 33% approx chance of getting one (try it a 4th time u might get lucky)
to previous poster i assume u know the meaning of random its CCPs way of telling u u cant farm it for a guareenteed drop
Get to low sec gallente space and kill some shadow cruisers
Anyway just clearing up youre misconception when i say 1 in 3 i meant every 3rd time (its just an average of 1 in 3) thats 33 times over 100. etc

Ok, I thought you meant 1 out of every 3 deadspace mods/other rare item would be a vigilant bpc. I guess I missed the part where you said the chance of getting a deadspace mod/bpc/other is random. ;/
