So far all I have done is agent jobs. I have mined very little and only have about 130,000 isk so far..........what should be the first ship to get and what other advise can you give as far as fitting the ship?

I would recommend buying a Probe and outfitting it with two mining lasers (Miner I) and two cargo expanders. You can find Probes pretty cheap in Hulm, usually less than 60k isk. Sure, everyone supports saving Einstein's brain, but when you put it in the body of a Great White Shark, suddenly you've "gone too far". |

True. Plus the Vigil is prolly the most fun and versatile of the minmatar frigates (3 mid and 3 low slots, woot!). It is fairly expensive tho. Sure, everyone supports saving Einstein's brain, but when you put it in the body of a Great White Shark, suddenly you've "gone too far". |

Depends on what you want to do. All races have to really cheap frigates that are quite a lot better than the newbie ship - one combat variant and one miner/freighter type. Pick the one you like, or just buy both :-).

Probe is very good for mining and ok for most other things. It's pretty cheap too. When you have more money I think a Rifter would be a good idea. It's very fast and good at fighting rates also.

I am doing Agent missions. I had planned on only using my Probe, but I got my butt kicked good by a single "disgruntled employee" or one of those types and decided to get a Rifter also. Basically I use the Rifter most of the time since it's faster, but when I get a mission that needs the larger cargo space I use the Probe. So basically I agree with Phoibos, go with a Probe until you decide you need a Rifter, then use both as necessary.
