I yesterday came back to EVE after 6 years of absence and restarted my trader char. And when i looked at my itiems i found out that i had alot of robotics lying (15-20k) around at several planets. Then i remembered i normally made some tours where i supplied some solay systems with Hydrochlorid Acid and by robotics and the other way round. So now i thought lets do it again. But then i noticed you cannot by robotics from stations anymore robotics looks to be a man made thing nowadays . Can someone explain to me in a few words when and what happened . |

Many of the NPC trade routes which used to exist have been removed, with the source of materials switched to players.
With regards to Robotics and so on, that source is Planetary Interaction. The link from the person above me covers it.
Short version:
Build harvesters on some planets (deploy a command center to them) and harvest materials. Feed those materials into factories to get different materials. feed /those/ into other factories, and get something else. And so on.
There are, iirc, 5 levels of materials (0 to 4). You don't need to take them all to 5 to get useful things out. Robotics is L3, iirc Mechanical parts are 2.
Not all materials are available on all planets, so you'll often ship between planets, or buy from the market for a step.
Woo! CSM 9!

A bit of good news is that those Robotics that you probably bought for around 6,800 ISK per unit are now worth around 55,000 ISK per unit
Check your inventory for other former NPC goods as well... other stuff has risen nicely in value as a result of Planetary Interaction: Guidance Systems, Consumer Electronics, Mech Parts just to name a few. |
