I'm concerned that I may be in some danger of becoming KOS to Gallente NPCs with my current standing of -4.47. At what point will I have passed the point of no return and how can I raise this faction back up without hurring my Caldari faction? (I am caldari currently running missions for amarr). Thanks for the help.

Lol, I was going to say run missions for the Minmatar, but being an Amarr fanboy probably eliminated that option . Try and work for a relatively neutral faction, like the Sisters of EVE or ORE (gl finding an agent for them in empire though).
-5 is the line IIRC that you have to cross before they start sending navy ships after you if you enter their space, but if you have a battlecruiser or stronger you should be alright.

Thank you Sakura. I found a Sisters of Eve agent near my location and I'll try running some missions for them.

I've heard that they have changed that, The servent sisters no longer give faction boost to the cal or amarr. In fact working for them seems to lessen it..
You could try telling them jokes?

That sucks, but the same idea applies - try and find someone with a positive standing to both factions (gl ), or one that has a minimal hate of say Caldari or Amarr, that way you take the smallest hit against your favored faction's standings.

Edited by: Norma Stitz on 25/08/2006 23:38:41 A drastic solution is to fail storyline missions for caldari.
Fastest way to improve gallente standing, but will seriously damage your caldari standing.
Running Minmatar might be the gentlest option.

You are Caldari. Permanent -5 to Gallente! I strongly encourage my Minmatar brothers to follow suit, or we will no longer allow Jessica Jaymes to visit and "service" you anymore!

Unless you really want to go to Syndicate, I'd say don't worry about as Gallente space is mostly worthless anyway.
You'll lose Oursulaert, but you can still travel through Rens or Jita to get where you're going.
I'm not aware of any Gallente space that let's you move around to other regions without going through Caldari space or highly camped lowsec like Old Man Star or Amamake. It'd probably be easier to go through Syndicate and jump to Solitude -> Aridia if you were negative to Caldari.
Maybe CCP will make Odatrik -0.4 one of these days so people will think twice about running missions for Lai Dai all day.
Republic Fleet phases out obsolete Vigils.

Train Diplomacy, each level increases your standing around 0.4 with the factions in "disliked by".

Train Diplomacy, and if you still can run some lvl 1 Minmatar agent mission, two at the same station if possible. This will get you storyline missions that will add to your faction. The quality of the agent does not matter.
