Real EvE players dont use alts.
Main - Pirate. Alt - Hauler/Carebear. Main - Miner. Alt - Hauler/Carebear. Main - Alliance soldier. Alt - Hauler/War dodger. Main - Trader. Alt - PvPer. Main - Researcher. Alt - PvPer/Carebear.
Depends on what you want really. --------- In the blindness, a streak fiery thread violently cuts the horizon. Bleeding golden mists, engulfing the blindness from within. Burning the darkness. The touch of dawn. |

The MAIN Areas of work for ALTS today...and only the important ones not worth doing with MAINS:
- hauling - producing (may also mains do that, but a life on a station?) - trading (may also mains do that, but lot of afk stuff) - POS-management - motherships/titan pilot - research - capital pilots (at least its more fun if you have a 2nd char for combat, POS-Wars are boring)
hm...i notice that 2/3 of this game is about alts :o)

my alt does all the things my main hasent gt time to train to do.
covert ops 5 interceptor 5 interdictor 5 HAC 5 recon ship 5 Support cruiser 5
means that if im going on a major fleet fight i will take out robbie as he has all his sp in big ships and a very very expensive head.
If i want to do some cheap pvp i take ut the alt as she has a cheaper clone no implants and flies smaller ships a lot better

my alt is far better designed, the starting stats were more intelligently distributed, has half the amount of skills but more skillpoints lol (had implants from day 1) -

I have 1 account,and i like it that way,in a multiplayer game. Well and people with more accounts are weak,they need all those accounts to play a simple game like eve ,otherwise the don`t have fun playing it .

I have an alt that is a moderator. Oh, wait. This *is* my alt. Oh, wait. I'm me. I'm a moderator. Where is my alt? Who's my main? Who am I? POST WITH MY MAIN!oneevelen!
In other news;
The history of every major MMORPG has past through three distinct and recognizable faces, those of survival, inquiry and sophistication. Otherwise known as the how, why and where-faces. For instances, the first question is characertized by the question "how can I get an alt?" - the second, "why do we have alts?" and third "where is your main?".

I hire alts as researchers. With 2.5 days of skill training, your alt can make millions of isk every month, and only require logging on for 5 minutes every coupla weeks.
I pay my alts 250k per job + 100k per day. So assuming an alt does 5 jobs that last 2 weeks each. They make 8.25m for 2 weeks of work, or literally only logging on at the start of that 2 week period to select those jobs.
As contractors, they have zero responsibilities and I don't care about their origins. Let me know if you are looking for a way to invest in those empty alt slots you have running. Why have them idle, when they can be making you money, with 2.5 days training each (2.5 days gives you skills for 5 labs and decent research speeds)
Shameless post but not exactly OT !
