I take it you're one of those people that read about site warpins and didn't actually test any of the other sites yourself? From someone being of higher rank in Lazerhawks i'd expect a bit more of a constructive comment. As a matter of fact we did a oruze yesterday, and it took us 3 siege cycles as as the random spawn made guardians spawn as far as 120k off our initial warp in, not to mention the random trigger which spawns an extra cruiser wave. Unless you know of some secret warp in for the oruze then I can't see that one going a lot faster with 2 dreads 2 archons. isnt this more about what to do with c1/c4 holes? that are litteraly USELESS in my eyes, higher wormhole space worked fine for years. the warping thing, is like smartbomb ratting. easy to do, no one does it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hAMnfgbLT0 this is smartbomb ratting in case you wonder what i am speaking about.
didnt they ban smartbomb ratting in WH space? or we're going to.. |

From someone from C5 space I thought you would've taken more initiative and paid more attention to the Oruze and Quarantine sites.
Here's a hint: Guardian spawns for both sites are NOT randomly spaced out. You need to LOOK where they spawn.
The triggers for both sites are NOT random either.
A non risk way of doing this for all sites in C5/C6 space is to make a ping 300km in any direction of the site and warp a capital to it.
One does not simply buy their way into Goonswarm.

They spawn between 0-120km ...
and warping a capital in 300k of yeah gives you the first wave but not the other 3 cap waves... |

As one of the biggest bears in Hawks, I would be happy to come to your hole with a few dreads and help you run the Oruze.

my suggestion for low class wormholes would be:
C1: Douable in solo t1 frigate?, escalable with destroyers (3times?). spawns logistic npc frigates when you warp in t1 frig logi c2: douable in solo destroyer? or even solo t2 frigate? escalates when warping in cruiser, 3 times aswell maybe? or even 3 waves with only 1 spawn so you dont have to wait to warp in more cruisers? c3: douable t1 cruiser? escalates when using bc, the logi cruiser spawn when using guardians or similar. c4: douable t2 cruiser/battlecruiser, escalates when using battleships, the logi cruiser spawn when using guardians or similar.
and make sure the income is adapted to the said class, from what you are using. make sure c4 space has a income that could be compared to normal nullsec ratting for few hours, maybe higher the spawn rate of sites in c4 to c1? or even use the same mechanic in c1/c2 space as in nullsec so newbies dont have to WAIT or move alot to do the sites and can get used to how pve works in wormhole space?
if i missed something that would be broke, let me know.
apologizes for my bad english aswell ;)
1. Why is it always the high class residents who claim to be knowing of whats needed for the lower classes? 2. Your linear risk/reward ballance suggestion is totally crap.
It's not so much about what you get out of running sites. It's more about being able to start doing PvE in the first place. While you douchbags always promote more connections and traffic for it, C5 and C6 are always being undiscussed. It's a fuckton easier for you high skilled players to holecontrol your 1 static with capitals than it is for any noob in a c1/2 or whatever. Really, I'm so fuckin tired of reading those arguments. If ya wanna keep c1-c4 open and gankable for you because of the need of content, I would suggest there should be a mechanic on the other end as well - like a cyno from null into your home, removing mass mechanic or whatever. What I actually see on your killboards is just gank and then hide back into your dickhole...

Boosting relic/data sites in C1-C2. The nonsleeper guarded are exactly the same than the null ones, a slight buff is convenient since WH is riskier than null.
But the sleeper guarded sites are just not worth the extra time of probing compared to a pure combat zone. |

i find farming c5/c6 a big enouth risk, so why "nerf" something that is working pefectly fine already?
i didnt read all the posts, (7 pages was bit to much for me) so in case that has been answerd already excuse me. If people do it even solo in C5 how high the risk might be? Even better - you are in the HK-renting-chain. *lol*
i just missed this post. so where has rebalancing to do with "your in this and this corp"?
its about the GAME not what happend to the said sandbox. |

I suggested this to you last year and you rather liked it Corbexx.
Essentially, 'wrecked' relic pieces are useless, to the point where they aren't even worth the research materials needed to attempt anything with them, they're essentially scrap metal. I think it'd be cool if some sort of 'transmutation' system was added that allowed you to convert wrecked relics into malfunctioning, and malfunctioning into intact pieces.

Can we address the issue where adding null sites to wormholes made them popular for 3 months and then crashed the market? Maybe add some wh specific stuff with blue loot or npc items, or something that people can use that won't de-value the market.
Just a thought. |
