Hello,
Its not really a story more of an adventure of an intrepid young pilot and his crow on a dangerous mission to hunt down and destroy lord doom.
Now hopefully the opening paragraph deterred all the would be non helpful people, now to the point :)
I have a crow and the skills to fit it tech 2 missiles, shields, mwd. However I have since learned tech to ammo is not holy grail i thought it could be.
My question is how exactly do you fly this thing, no really how do you what are your pvp tactics, find the target hit mwd and ive flown about 300 km pass the target. Which is a problem as i always liek to fly my ships by the mouse not by orbit.
SO really what orbit should I use, Ive already had to replace one. I warped in on top of a raven, bounced, smartbombed and jumped in my pod (was over very quickly)
Thanks for your help.
Disclaimer: I looked at the ship setups, the interceptor overview,t urned into a slanging match over rockets/missiles and google, which brought me straight back to the forums.
Ive now became a 'sunday pvper' its not that I ahve a less right to pvp than you, I just do it when I have the most time. For the Emperors name |

The Emperor likes Armageddons.. anyways lol at the 300km pass the target statement.
manual flying is more important in the approach if you have a long way to go, where you try to maintain a high transversal velocity so that your opponent can't hit you, as well as in interceptor duels but you'll have to learn those tricks yourself. the crow doesn't exactly have the highest dps so if you're trying to solo a raven i'd try another ship.
As for orbit just orbit at the far end of your missile-/scrambling range for the crow whichever is shorter.. or you can maybe put a blaster on it as well with rockets and go for short range. Don't maintain your mwd when orbiting of course because firstly it raises your signature radius to the max resulting in easier hitting by your opponent.
Tactics are never the same for each ship and i guess you'll either just have to practice or study the ships you're flying against.
that being said ceptors are much better in groups and serve as tacklers, being fast and having a scrambler and all that even though many have become very skilled at maneuvering their interceptors.
If you just want to hang around on your own killing i'd suggest going for something smaller than a BS. Some cruisers can be killed by an interceptor easily enough and of course anything smaller is doable with the right approach. Study and test out some of the fits on the forum.

What the guy above said +
If you're using missiles try an orbit of about 12-14km - will put you outside medium nos and web range and most short range guns (unless you are fighting something you shouldn't) leave the mwd on and you'll be at about 16km - no problem hitting them from there.
Crow users get accused of being inty pilots on easy mode - so use that - manual approach but then just orbit - until you get a better feel for the ship that is.
Much as I like the crow - the dps sucks (not a whine - you can't have it all) so try and pick appropriate targets - you'll not beat a raven on your own in a crow unless he starts at 1% structure.
You may well know this - but with mwd and a 20km scram running - you'll need good cap skills and 2 or 3 cap mods.
