Defense is the biggest reason for having dreads and carriers in empire. It takes a lot fewer pilots to defend an seige in empire if all of your pilots have a fighter or 2 as wingmen.

As was recently pointed out to me by an astute observer, a Phoenix does, in point of fact, have a turret slot. Remember to use a faction mining laser for additional "cool points".
A Leviathan, however, still does not.

Hmmm... So what happens if the devs decide to pull the plug on highsec capital production while one is in production? Does the job just disappear with the loss of all the components, or eject leaving the components lying around, or complete immediately, or does the entire POS just get moved to some random vacant moon in 0.4 or below?
Answers from someone in the know would be appreciated. By the way, I am not personally affected.
If the first option (total loss) is the one used, then it's just another example of CCP's shafting of industrialists.

I dont know, its kinda logical to me. The ships cant jump into high-sec, they are not supposed to be there, so why would you invest all your time into working around game mechanics? People call that exploiting ya know!
