One of the reason happily CCP nerfs vet content is that their statistics show that a player that played for a few years (can't remember if it was 2-3) is unlikely to quit. Yes, we are quite a masochistic bunch it seems. What CCP forgets is that everyone has a limit of how much of it they will take.

Let's say, offering 1 extra subscription day / account / active year. CCP could cap it at 3 or 5 days. It would be small enough not to be a real advantage, nothing in-game would be hurt, but it would still mean that CCP is rewarding the loyal customers. You've obviously never dealt with telecoms companies in the UK, new customers get all of the things, existing customers get screwed.

Yes i made a internal post few weeks ago about this. It seems odd the longer u play the more u pay. Atleast that part is settled now with the removal of pod cost, but loyalty ccp lp would be nice, for items that dont give u a pvp advantage. Several ccp people seen it and replied. So its mentioned, and out there.
Ofc nothing direclty planned, or to tell but its normal in rl to reward loyal customers as it makes sense in retaining ghem for your future income. Use your clients as your best marketing tool |

Use your clients as your best marketing tool This idea is nothing new. The CCP marketing guy actually talked about that they are looking into a reward program for vets two years ago at fanfest. Just so far nothing happened.

I think Rhea's med clones fit the bill. Vets get to keep what they've paid for, free of jeopardy.

CCP give substantially more of a shirt than any other production studio their size , granted the duck up (regularly) but ye still have it ducking good. Edit: smartphowend, no htc, I did not mean to say shirt...Or ducking...I never do. Noone has EVER intended to type "ducking;" ever.

I don't want anything I haven't earned. Period.
If CCP wants to give us presents on their birthday, that's up to them. Thus far, I've appreciated every anniversary gift we've received. And I liked last year's Christmas thing. That was fun.
Instead of working on "loyalty rewards", I'd rather they turned out a new Mystery Code item with every patch. Even if it were an avatar item. Maybe special Jovian Directorate or Society of Conscious Thought Marshal and Gunner jackets with Rhea? Or an unlimited universal Evolution of Mankind ship skin? Just an idea.

Well that's what I'm saying, the freebies they give out on a calendar basis rather than account age basis is cool, if you hang onto them, well that's somewhat of a vet reward.

I just thought of this, and the two best things to give vets, imo would be a BPO of an 'anniversary edition' skin. one that the vet has peminatly. Or a special edition ship that you get when you hit 10 years.

Eve already has a Veteran Loyality program: Skillpoints.
The longer you play, the more you accumulate (as long as you put a skill to train) While there's a limit to train in a specific field, you can broaden your characters abilties greatly, allowing more versatile characters.
Also, CCP often gives stuff around the holidays & their EvE launch date anniversary. That can also count as a veteran program, because the longer you play, the more 'rare' / 'unique' items you get.
I don't see a need for more Vet awards, albeit the idea proposed earlier about a banner saying how many years you've been subscribed does sound neat.

I now have several 100K+ characters and you reach a point where there isn't any useful thing to train. So that is hardly a vet award. |

I presume you mean 100 mill+ sp chars. But at that skillrange, there's plenty to train, unless your chars are not into flying ships ofc. Myself, I still got tons of stuff to train, as I aim to fly most subcapital ships decently, still a long way to go and I'm at 125 mill+ sp.
But tbh, vet rewards have never been about being useful, only about 'See this special thing? I'm a vet/player/subscriber for X years!' So with that Skillpoints are a Vet loyality program
